This hotel evokes a Historic original era and architecture under dim, dark lighting. Room decorated with dark furniture and wall coverings. The headboards updated with modern design that didn’t match the overall furniture style. Noisy downtown traffic area is heard throughout during morning and afternoon hours.

One of our favorite hotels!
We love the Raphael, this was our third stay and it did not disappoint. The service is top notch and the staff are all very friendly. The beds are very comfortable and rooms are immaculate.

Location location location. Just a cery short walk to the Country Club Plaza shopping area. Excellent hotel restaurant. Excellent service. Friendly employees. Exceptional housekeeping. Close to the Nelson Atkins art museum which is outstanding. Pricey and you get what you pay for. Warm and inviting, small - the opposite of larger, newer mote modern hotels.
