"We were very lucky to have two beautiful days/nights near Mt. Fuji on Lake Yamanaka. We couldn't go on the lake since there was a high wind advisory. It was very convenient that the hot springs bath was in the hotel. We had the brrakfast the last morning and it was wonderful."

"The property is a bit dated but well maintained, kept clean and in order. It worked out for our family looking for a relaxed and easygoing stay. When we walked for a morning stroll, we caught a beautiful and clear view of Mt Fuji. With rental car, we had access to a selection of restaurants, shops, and activities within the Lake Yamanakako area. But 7/11 is also just a few minute walk and the hotel offers breakfast and dinner for an affordable price. We would stay here again!"

"Amazing experience for car enthusiast. Waking up to the sound of race cars. This property is alittle expensive, but all the amenities and services make it worth it. I wish there are some cheaper dining options around. Not everybody wants to go fine dining every meal. Transportation is not the most convenient. We rented a car to drive there. "

"Hard to live here without a car, it’s far from downtown in a city without much commotion. Everything else is satisfactory but soundproof is a problem, can clearly hear other people and cleaning staff when they simply walking by outside, and neighbors accidentally banging on the wall is a bit scary at night. Nice view of Fuji tho"

"The hotel exceeded our expectations. The breakfast buffet was specially great with so many selections. Parking was free and easy, and the property was next to the beautiful park which we enjoyed the peak season of cherry blossoms. We had a room with full view of beautiful Mt.Fuji. We would stay here again, probably during the autumn color season. "

Relaxing Hotel

"This was a wonderful, relaxing hotel. They provide a robe and pajamas (my descriptions) that you can wear around the hotel (even to dinner). The dinner buffet requires reservations but was tasty. The hotel is located right by the pirate ship ferry and the ropeway (over the mountain) but there are not any other restaurants or shops nearby. They have some rooms with personal soaking tubs on the patio (awesome) and the public bath was also amazing. The public path requires tattoos to be covered up, but you can buy a 'sticker' at the front desk. "

"This Dormy Inn was exceptional. The two hot springs baths and the sauna on the top floor were the highlight for us. We also enjoyed the complimentary ice cream in the evening and a free chair massage while our laundry was being done. After long travels in Japan, this Dormy Inn felt particularly welcoming with the complimentary lobby drinks and the complimentary ramen in the evening as well as all of the above mentioned conveniences. We will definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to Mishima. "

"We came here for our honeymoon. The staff went above and beyond to make out stay a very special one. The hotel was very high-end and comfortable. We loved our private onsen and the morning breakfast. We also got unlimited ice cream! Would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a special trip or to relax in Hakone."

"Very cool, retro early 60’s hotel that’s been well preserved. So many great things to say about this hotel great staff very welcoming excellent transportation shuttle options. The views are amazing huge patio with lounge chairs to relax and soak in the view of Mount Fuji many dining options. The buffet was excellent, filled with traditional Japanese and American breakfast choices known for its onson/Spa this hotel is truly a step back in time and such a treat. Favorite part of the property is the size of the guest rooms which were huge by Japanese hotel standards large sliding windows open to bring in fresh air and gorgeous views beautiful ropes slippers. This hotel is truly delight. Don’t miss the gift shop. Hope to visit again! "
