Hotel La Bohemia is a wonderful hotel right in the heart of the incredible Karlovy Vary. We had a lovely and spacious room with a balcony overlooking the street. The lift in the building was much appreciated. The room was excellent value. We will undoubtedly stay here on any future visit to Karlovy Vary.

We thoroughly enjoyed our very relaxing 4-day stay in Karlovy Vary (Karlsbad), La Bohemia met all of our needs: convenient location, good view, clean facilities, and close by public transportation. The included breakfast was yummy with many choices, and the crepes w/fresh strawberries were a favorite. Size of the room w/high ceilings and a balcony was nice for relaxing and enjoying the view of the river walking areas. An overall lovely stay at a nicely remodeled hotel with a sense of history. Staff is very helpful if you need assistance. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. NOTE: Hotel sits across the street from the end of the bus line making it very convenient to take a connecting bus from the main Karlovy Vary bus station. Highly recommend taking in a couples or family day at one of the locals spas (e.g. Saunya Thermal resort).

It was overall a lovely stay, but there were some things that could have been better. The check in was very smooth and quick, the room was lovely and clean, we had an upgrade and Italian Prosecco in the room waiting for us. The negative parts were: The bathroom vent didn’t work The breakfast items such as the pastries and bread were quite stale We left the hotel during our two night stay at 10 am, we added the door sign to make up the room so the towels can be changed and we returned at 6pm with the room untouched. I called to request new towels and they took two hours to delivered to the room. The shower leaks across the bathroom floor. Lastly, unsure if this applies to all times for all guests, but we couldn’t leave the luggage at the hotel while we toured the area because hotel staff wouldn’t be there despite the sign saying they should be there from 8 am until 8 pm.

Arrived at hotel and it was locked. Number to ring on door to contact manager but it did not work, luckily someone came who made us wait outside until he rang the manager to come to us, he was there within 5 mins but it was still a bit strange. Had 1 coffee pot in the room for expresso machine, no milk. Made coffee on day 1 and it was cold, Coffee or milk was never replenished. Companion who had separate room on some days never had his bed made and no clean towels. Was also i little noisy at times from 5.30 in morning. Other than these points it was clean and a good location. We also found the locals quite abrupt and unfriendly.

Beware of the limited opening hours (till 9 - 20:00) of reception. Makes it a tad more complicated if you have needs outside those hours. Also difficult to find because the hotel name is not stated on the door or bulding. On the outside it looks like it is called Bohemia Hotel. The breakfast is basic but sufficient. Very centrally located to everything you would want to see in the charming old town.
