"We chose the penthouse, because I felt like a penthouse would be good. It wasn’t. We flew late at night from the US only to learn that the penthouse was on the 5th floor and they didn’t have an elevator. This made it impossible to stop by quickly at the hotel to get a hat or quickly change a shirt. We didn’t stay. We left the same night and went and stayed at their sister property with an elevator. "Bujan picked me up at the airport as pre-arranged and transferred me to the hotel. It was a pleasant comfortable journey and Bujan was friendly and hospitable. He proved equally friendly at the hotel checkin and efficiently got me set up in a well appointed spacious room with a nice view of the pool and garden for my short stay. "We enjoyed 4 nights here. The staff were absolutely lovely. Always greeted with a smile and always willing to help with any request. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast varried and good quality. The pool area was very relaxing and free towels and changing facilities provided. On the final morning we were unfortunately unable to have breakfast as our flight time was changed. This was no problem for the staff who provided a lovely breakfast for us all to take with us at 5.30am. A porter was also waiting to take our bags from the bedroom without even requesting this. An excellent experience, thank you lovely Hotel Shanker staff."

Beautiful, lush grounds

"We had a wonderful stay. We were greeted with smiles and some fresh juice. The room was beautiful and clean. I loved that we could open the windows to let fresh air in. The grounds were beautiful and an amazing background for pictures. Breakfast was included and was very delicious. "
