"Aloha. Yes the Kauai inn is a very historically old property and the rooms could use an update remodel but are spotless with a good foam mattress and all in perfect working condition. I understand a few rooms have been remodeled. I suggest that you request a room on first floor with a patio out the back. Only a few buildings have patios. Wonderful thick beach towels and even a new beach chair was available to borrow. It is very quiet in an area on a less travelled road to get to but only 10...

But when we got to the unit, it was honestly 10 times better. I was a little sketch at first, but when we arrived, it was really nice. Unit 27 is where we stayed and it is actually two stories with two separate balconies. Both rooms are upstairs along with the laundry Stacker.
