"We stayed one night as a quick visit. The hotel is located at the end of the onsen strip. It's a older hotel. Lights are dimmer than the ones in the cities. We like that we get futons and sleep on the floor. Front desk staff speaks limited English, but they try their best to answer our questions. They will use a translator to help us understand if we have questions. They also loan out yukata for us to wear and we can onsen hop to other hotel onsen at no additional charge. "The hotel is in a beautiful location but if you want to go into town it’s a very long walk. Hotel offers shuttle service but limited schedule to return. Very few taxis available. "After a few hectic days in Kyoto we started to relax on the 2 1/2 hour train ride to Amino. The hotel shuttle picked us up as previously arranged. The hotel has only 8 bedrooms, all with sea views. The staff are all very friendly and enthusiastic. The food is excellent; we had the Japanese meals but some western dish are available."

The free breakfast was just amazing (you can bring it up your room if you want) Just make sure not tk book a smoking room if you don't smoke like I did... "Really great hotel outside of the of the hubbub. Spa is basic but wonderful not crowded. The surrounding area is full of nature and boats. It’s quiet and it’s peaceful. Our room was a traditional room with the tatami mats. It had a kettle and little sweet treats. Overall it was great. Would stay there again even though it’s on the other side of the river. We came by bike and we could park our bikes no problem. "
