"The manager at the reception made everything about the start cheery and positive (originally from South Africa). She is very helpful towards all guests. This is a fine hotel - listened to the live Irish music they had in the bar. Wonderful!"

"Mary runs and owns this place for more than 20 years. She has perfected the service and art of the business. I got an email message regarding directions to get there. She greeted us at the door with a very warm and welcoming feeling. Our room was clean and the breakfast was superb! The home is well maintained with wonderful flowers outside. Kenmare was just a 10 min walk away where you can find bars and restaurants. This is an awesome highly recommended place!"

"We had a fantastic time at Winchmore Hill House. We had 2 families and the house was the perfect size for our large group - not too small and not too big. The large group would usually congregate in the kitchen/dining area which worked great especailly w/ the easy access to the patio. We visited many towns on our daily tours but were glad that we picked Kenmare as our base as again it was the perfect Goldilocks fit small and quaint but still plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from."

"Our family of 4 stayed here for 6 nights. The location is perfect. It is in a quiet street with parking out front, only a 10 min walk into the beautiful town of Kenmare where there are multiple dining options. It is a great base to enjoy exploring County Kerry. "John showered us with information and was ever so helpful on our road trip from Dublin to Kenmare. Joanne was a delight - we had a wonderful welcome to the property. The property was just awesome, cozy like a warm hug. The location to shops/eating was great. We came the end of November, the weather was not so great, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the heck out of Kenmare. I always tell people you can't take a bad picture in Ireland. Miss it already! "

"I really enjoyed our stay here! The room was clean, the staff was welcoming and there is plenty to do in the area. Also the restaurant attached to the hotel was very good! The only thing is our room was near the alleyway and it can be a bit loud with late night party-goers yelling about. But not much you can do about that!"

"The check-in staff were exceptionally friendly and explained that they would accommodate an earlier check-in as soon as our room was ready. The lobby is really stunning, with fireplaces and a cozy ambience. The bar and restaurant on site were really nice too. I would recommend staying for breakfast, which we did. The breakfast spread exceeded my expectations. As we stayed on weeknights in January, it clearly was not the '' busy '' time of year. However, even though it wasn't that busy the spa of the hotel still had quite a few people in it. The spa facilities were beautiful, but I would imagine during the high season this gets overrun and wouldn't be as relaxing. "

Management at its best.

"The best hotel stay in a long time thanks to manager Brian Budhlaeir. Our suite was so spacious, comfortable, clean and homely. It even had a christmas tree. There was live music on the piano during dinner, mulled wine and games. The atmosphere in the Aghadoe was so relaxing and we cannot wait to return."
