"We loved spending our New Years together here at this property. Everything was very nice, especially the hot tub. Great place to relax, and it wasn't a far drive from stores and such. The only complaint we had was the bed was a touch too hard (for her anyways) but this was easily remedied by just folding up some blankets to use as cushions. Recommended to bring some kind of mattress topper if you prefer a softer bed. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our hosts! Thanks again, Julien...

"Good sized bedrooms w/ good mattresses, 5 minute walk to ferry; row of restaurants 3 blocks away but kitchen trash can was full, floors were dirty. No curtain on best room facing main street, bathroom smells,closets and shelves are mostly full, kitchen has no stove or hot plate."

"Everything was nice, but there was no railings on the stairs to the basement. Also the TV did not work and the ownerdid not rely to our questions."

"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. A few excited moments at dusk when we caught sight of several whales waaaaay out – okay, turned out be distant shoals but what fun! Enjoyed long walks … to...

"The building seemed a bit run down on first impression. It was also somewhat difficult to find as the address was number 30 but the house had different numbers at the front. However once we figured it out, the parking was great and the apartment was very nice. We found several places to eat within an easy walk. The host was very responsive. Our only suggestion is the couch in the living room is not very comfortable and sags when you sit down. "

"This was an ideal place for us to stay - short trip to visit family in the area. We like the convenience of a kutchen to make tea, coffee and quick snacks. Location was ideal and the host was lovely - so friendly. Suite had everything we needed, plus extra touches such as toiletries and tea and coffee were provided. "

"You could not ask for a better host than Claire! She was so kind to us during our stay. The house was just as described and the perfect place for us to stay for our 30th anniversary trip to Nova Scotia. The views were amazing, the beds were so comfortable and we enjoyed the cozy fire. The deck was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine in the evening. Nearby Polly's Cove is a beautiful hike. We highly recommend this property!"

The underground parking was also very convenient, though they could put a sign pointing to the door that you could see from a bit further maybe? I wasnt sure where the entrance door was until i saw someone coming out of it and noticed it is 1 door for in/out. I will definitely be staying here again, nice rooms and clean washroom. "I liked the easy parking at the front doors for unloading our bags and checking in. The underground parking was also very convenient, though they could put a sign pointing to the door that you could see from a bit further maybe? I wasnt sure where the entrance door was until i saw someone coming out of it and noticed it is 1 door for in/out. I will definitely be staying here again, nice rooms and clean washroom. I like that there is a microwave, sink, and coffee station in your room too. Only downside was that the elevator to the parking was out of order this morning so i had to make 3 trips up and down the stairs with our bags and baby, otherwise it was a great stay :) "
