"This property was perfect! We were a group of 5, so we utilized the apart hotel. It was spacious and clean, allowed us to have communal space and private sleeping. Dining at the restaurant was fantastic. Jason was our server and he was amazing. Food was great, only a short 10 min walk to the Muckross Abbey and a breath taking lake. Hotel views bolstered mountains in the morning. Wonderful staff, we did not have time to utilize the spa but it looked beautiful. "

"This property is spacious and beautiful. There was a comfortable living space, bedroom and bathroom for everyone. It was an easy walk to the town center. I would not advise this home, however, if stairs are a problem for anyone in your party. "

Would not recommend for people leary of driving on a long, winding, narrow country road or those with certain disabilities as stone steps are steep going up to property. Martin was a friendly host and you even get to feed the chickens near the property."

"This is a 5 star booking all around. If this home hits on size, price point and location lock your stay in while you can. Beds are beyond comfortable. All closets have luxurious robes and slippers. "The check-in staff were exceptionally friendly and explained that they would accommodate an earlier check-in as soon as our room was ready. The lobby is really stunning, with fireplaces and a cozy ambience. The bar and restaurant on site were really nice too. I would recommend staying for breakfast, which we did. The breakfast spread exceeded my expectations. As we stayed on weeknights in January, it clearly was not the '' busy '' time of year. However, even though it wasn't that busy the spa of the hotel still had quite a few people in it. The spa facilities were beautiful, but I would imagine during the high season this gets overrun and wouldn't be as relaxing. "

"The best hotel stay in a long time thanks to manager Brian Budhlaeir. Our suite was so spacious, comfortable, clean and homely. It even had a christmas tree. There was live music on the piano during dinner, mulled wine and games. The atmosphere in the Aghadoe was so relaxing and we cannot wait to return."
