"First time VRBO customer. Process for booking was easy, description of property was accurate. Communication with host was superb. Any issues we had were quickly taken care of. It was as you would expect a cabin to be: minimalistic. All flatware, cooking and BBQ utensils, pot, pan and baking sheet were provided. Pots are sized for cabins. If you intend to cook large group meals bring your own. Very close to water, kayaks & life vests available. Paddle boat available for use. "

"I’m rented Cabin 2 for a short “girls trip” with my friend and wanted something inexpensive, cozy and good for relaxing. This was mostly what we found. The waterfront property is beautiful and the common area was perfect for sitting on the swing and drinking coffee while looking over the water. "The property was in a good location, right on the lake with beautiful views and designated parking. The place was well stocked with everything you'd need for a short stay, especially the kitchen. Super clean, comfortable, spacious. We had an issue with the bed, but the mattress was very comfy, and lots of blankets. Excellents hosts. Definitely recommend."

"Went up to celebrate my son’s 21st birthday. Both youngest kids had a half hour drive from Ferris State University. My oldest had to work in Big Rapids. My parents live an hour and ten minutes away. Perfect location on the lake to have a small gathering for a day. Hiking trails nearby. Spent a night alone in the peaceful morning waking up to a beautiful lake and breeze. Plan to return. "

"Stayed here for a couple of days to spend the weekend fishing for steelhead on the Muskegon River. Accommodations were great; ample space for my husband and I, well stocked, clean and fun decor! Cozy and cute. The fishing was great too! Will definitely return."

"Love it here, been coming here two/three times a year for the past three years when visiting my father. Owner Rhonda and her husband are great. Perfect place for summer fun or fall colors. "

"We love our stay in the Sunset Suite at Blue Heron Retreat. The setting over the lake is beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kayaks, and maybe most of all just watching the sunrise over the lake. Everything was very clean and we loved the extra touches like fresh flowers and lavender. We came to the area to Ike the Dragon Trail and are thrilled to have found such a great place to stay. We will be back!"

"Staff was extremely accommodating to our needs prior to and upon arrival while traveling with an elderly family member with needs. ADA accommodations were provided. Staff was extremely friendly even when I called the front desk within 30 minutes of arrival as my father accidentally flooded the bathroom and entryway while showering. The professionalism and service continued throughout our stay. We would definitely return and recommend this facility."
