Walkthrough....
To the front of the house there's access via a gentle slope or 10 steps up to a terrace, which is a real sun trap complete with a table, chairs and expansive sea views.

Inside, the open plan kitchen and dining area has an elegant table as well as a convivial kitchen island surrounded by high stools. It’s equipped with a smart American-style fridge-freezer, a dishwasher, microwave, two electric ovens, an induction hob, and a coffee machine. Meanwhile, French windows lead out to the garden - perfect for alfresco summer lunches. Next door to the kitchen is a convenient cupboard housing the washing machine and tumble drier.

Three of the four bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with their own television and DVD player. There are two double rooms with King Size beds - one with an en suite shower room and the other with double doors into the garden. There’s also a twin room and a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.

Head upstairs and you will find a superb living room with two large L-shaped sofas, television, and magnificent sea views as well as skylights that flood the room with natural light. Here, you will also find the master bedroom, which can either be configured as a Super King bed or twin beds thanks to the Zipper link-attached beds. This tranquil room has its own en suite shower room.

To the rear of the property you will find a garden laid to lawn and patio complete with a table, chairs and BBQ- all looking out towards the sea. For those with water sports equipment, there’s a shed to store your beach gear securely.

Recommended for...
A family, two families together or a group of friends looking to spend time together.

Favourite feature...
The views over Bigbury Bay to Burgh Island and proximity to the sea - the holiday home is just 500 yards from the beach.

Need to know...
Dogs are welcome to join their owners at this holiday home but are only allowed in the kitchen/dining room.

About a holiday in Bigbury-on-Sea...
Bigbury-on-Sea is probably best known for its unique stretch of beach, where the tide comes in from both sides. The strip of sand leads to Burgh Island, a private island home to an eponymous 1930s art deco hotel, famous for its sea tractor and for inspiring several Agatha Christie novels. There you will also find the historic Pilchard Inn (excellent for fish and chips), while the mainland has a beach café and surf school. The area is well known as a surfing hot spot, especially if you head to nearby Bantham. It’s also set along the famously beautiful South West Coast Path for long scenic walks. A holiday here is also a chance to explore other parts of the South Hams - head to the sailing town of Salcombe, the market town of Kingsbridge, play golf at Bigbury Golf Course and enjoy a variety of superb restaurants like the Oyster Shack just a short drive away.

A most memorable week
We had a very relaxed happy and memorable time all was to our satisfaction - the rooms were clean bright and the whole house was welcoming with the most beautiful view - as a family we looked forward to spending the week together to help us all to come to terms with the traumatic loss of 2 dear members of our family and I hope we will be able to come back again next year

Stunning location, but very unclean home.
I have never stayed in a property as dirty as this. It’s such a shame as the house could be really beautiful if it was looked after. It’s tired, and the cleaning company have hardly been cleaning between guests leaving dust, crumbs, sand and other disgusting finds to build up. The house itself is a lovely size in a beautiful location. Could be the most wonderful place but the cleanliness really lets it down. We had to ring for the sheets to be changed on one of the beds as they were stained, luckily this was resolved quickly, however it put a bit of a dampener on our special holiday as every day we found something else pretty gross.

A comfortable stay.
Beds were comfortable which was a relief after so many hard ones in other rentals robbing everyone of a good nights sleep. No proper utility room just a cupboard which was disappointing.

Beautiful holiday home suitable for all ages
Fantastic stay here at Bigbury on Sea .Great location.House has everything you could want and the views are breathtaking. We had elderly parents with us ,so be aware there is a steep hill up to property from the beach but we didn’t have any problems .Suitable footwear is needed in the property as the stairs are wooden so could be slippery.Best holiday home I have stayed in for quality

Aburghley
Absolutely fantastic! Spacious, light, beautiful furnishings, seaside vibe and artwork, quality fixtures and fittings, enclosed garden with large table, beach at bottom of hill, lovely walks around and about. Would love to stay again soon! Thank you for a very special week’s holiday! Also, the welcome hamper with a card listing local recommendations was a nice touch and much appreciated.

Beautiful Bigbury-on-Sea
Cannot recommend this property highly enough. Three generations of us stayed there very comfortably. The views are just stunning and the layout of the house lends itself to enjoying them. Having two lounge areas meant the TV did not dominate when relaxing; the WiFi was good - essential these days for our youngsters!! The hillside location is a challenge but pleased to have lost a few pounds in spite of holiday treats!

Lovely well equipped property
The views from the house were amazing - could sit for hours just looking out! Lovely property and well equipped Beds comfy and plenty of seating areas throughout the house Nice garden too Cleanliness was patchy - floors weren’t that clean on arrival. Stairs were incredibly slippy and two members of our party did slip on the stairs - be careful! The hill back to the house from the beach is a tough climb. Steep hill and my mum couldn’t walk it so had to pick her up in the car each day - should be clearer on the description. Not much in Bigbury-On-Sea itself so you do need to get in the car even for a shop!
