Experience Glamour Camping or Glamping on the river deep in the heart of Texas Hill Country. Kayaks, river tubes, firewood, hammocks, and so much more all included in this private property rental! This river gem is the perfect get-way for friends or family to see the open skies and sink your toes in the San Marcos River located in the town of Fentress halfway between San Marcos and Luling off Highway 80. It is a place you can actually see the stars at night, watch sky divers fall from the sky, enjoy tubing, or hop in a kayak to feel the cool waters of the natural spring feed river!

Enjoy getting away from the city in a 2022 Jayco camper with all the modern amenities. Feel free to also enjoy a evening campfire, ride on the zipline, or just sit under the evening lights to enjoy the fresh air.

Amazing
Absolutely worth it we had so much grub floating the river and just enjoying the air I recommend this pad for anyone trying to just get away. Fentress is small and quiet and locals are great!

Best Birthday Party Ever!
We had a wonderful 3.5 days at this amazing location. The outdoor kitchen gave us exactly what we needed to cook and entertain for our big group. The added touches gave us places to sun bathe, swim, rest & read, swim, get your feet wet, watch the stars, and enjoy the night sky. The hosts are wonderful! They provide everything you need. Don’t miss the outdoor fridge and sink it’s a game changer!!

Toys galore! Fun times!!
Hubby, dogs and I stayed for 2 nights. We had a great time. Everything you need is there for a fun trip. Pool is great too, esp in 100 degree heat. Oh and the zip line!!!! We loved being able to start playing as soon as we arrived. Great spot! One star off for dusty TV console area and bathroom fixtures in RV. I just wiped them down. Rest of RV seemed cleaned and was very well appointed. Bathroom in tiny house a big plus. Thanks for a super fun birthday celebration!!

First class Glamping
Family stayed five days and had entertainment every day. Used swimming pool every day and the water was perfect temperature. Loved hangout on tree fort with beautiful view up and down river. Fished off floating dock but not able to catch the fish we saw every day. Kayak up and down river exploring shore line. Also tube floated down river at San Marcos ending day at the falls. Saw lots of wildlife along with armadillo hanging around camp. I recommend everyone should glamour at this place Couldn’t ask for better host, we locked keys in trailer soon as we arrived. They responded and was back in trailer in minutes.

AMAZING PLACE!!!
This place truly is a hidden GEM!! And I will be returning. We are looking at dates to go ahead and book our next trip for next year! The home owners are THE nicest and very helpful! Anytime we had an issues Kristy was just a quick text away! Absolutely LOVE this place and it literally has everything, really only need to bring your clothes and food! Great glamping experience!
Fabulous Memorial Day weekend at this awesome property! We enjoyed every single amenity. Communication with the hosts was excellent. We had a power issue but called the owners and they had equipment on site to solve the problem and talked me through it. Problem solved! Great location for floating the river and kayaking put in and take out not far away. We loved the pool, tubes available for floating, plenty of counter space outside for camp stove and griddle we brought, fire wood available for a fire and covered area which kept the rain from ruining our weekend! We will be back!

Best vacation place ever.
thus place has it all. I got to fish, my kids got to swim, and my wife got to relax. We would huddle up every night and roast marshmallows and cook on fire while listening to good music. Only bad thing was we had to leave.

Secluded Texas Getaway
Finding places to rent in Texas with river access does not come by easily and the price for what you are getting can not be beat. The amenities this places provided were excellent and it provided for a great getaway from the city. Spending time in the river was what I was looking forward the most and this place is one that I will book again next summer.

Quiet, peaceful, full of amenities!
If you love camping, you’ll love this place; if you don’t, you’ll still love it. There is so much to do without ever leaving the property. Owners provide so many games and equipment to keep you busy ... or just relax on the deck overlooking the San Marcos River. We spent a lot of time in the swimming pool. The travel trailer was small, but quite adequate. We were trailer newbies, so had a bit of a learning curve to understand how to get hot water, turn on the stove, etc. The only thing I missed was a washer/dryer like most other rentals, but since we lived in swimsuits for 4 days, we really had little laundry, anyway. While very secluded, the location was close enough to Fentress to make a quick run to the convenience store for charcoals Would we return to this location? Absolutely! Would we recommend this location? Already have and I hope they enjoy it as much as we did.

Simply Serene River Property
The property is very peaceful with multiple outdoor activities available. Swimming, kayaking, watching the fish under the spotlight at night, and viewing the skydivers throughout the day were all enjoyable activities! We will definitely stay here again!!

An amazing escape!
If you like the outdoors, quiet solitude, star lit nights and water sports, this place is perfect. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and river, kayaking, tubing, fishing, hiking, viewing wild animals, zip lining, hiking, and biking. We rarely saw another person. The hosts are responsive and friendly. They have all the supplies you need for all that outdoor fun. My only caution is to realize that you'll be cooking and sleeping in an RV. The kitchen is moderately supplied. It's not the same as a house or hotel. But, the challenges are well worth all the fun.

Glamping at it’s best!
This is a such a great place to unplug & relax on the San Marcos river. We loved spending our days in the salt water pool watching the sky divers, kayaking and fishing on the river & reading in the hammocks. The outdoor shower was awesome for rinsing off after the river & the ice maker was great for our adult bevs. Nights were spent by the fire playing games, grilling out and enjoying the stars & sounds of nature. We spotted several deer in the area. AC in both the tiny home and RV worked great & they make glamping possible even in the hot TX summers. A few things that would have made our stay better: Had a little issue with the lights & pool pump tripping the breaker box multiple times but the owner was responsive and we got it figured out. The coffee maker was single serving/small but we left our extra full size one there for the next guest :) The only thing missing was a proper kitchen knife, we ended up picking up a fish filet knife from the local gas station and used that to cut our fajitas and watermelon. Overall we had a great time and can’t wait to come back!

Perfect glamping & gazing getaway
Sweet San Marcos River retreat. Stephen and Kristen were prompt and responsive hosts. Watching skydivers during the day and stargazing at night were mesmerizing and therapeutic. You can watch others risk their lives falling by day and make a wish to falling stars by night. You really only need to bring food, beverages, and personal amenities because all else is definitely provided (so much so storage space in RV is limited).

May be our favorite OF ALL rentals!
Close to town but far enough for peave, nature, wildlife and STARS. Clean, well-equipped, lots of EXTRAS, wonderful folks as hosts and did I mention the nature?!!! This was such a major fit for tuning out the electronics and tuning in to family snd nature. We had so many laughs and fun times at this little peice of perfection! Can’t wait to get back!
