Farm Living at its finest, without all the work! Our home is located just 15 minutes from Traverse City. This listing is for our whole home (4300 sq. foot) on 8 acres. We have 4 bedrooms and a den with a futon bed that sleeps 12-16 comfortably. There are 3 ½ bathrooms and a full basement with a pool table and room to blow up an air mattress or 2 if you so choose. There is a library area upstairs where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine or your morning coffee while doing a little reading. Go into Traverse City and enjoy the water and then come home and enjoy farm living. We live on a small gentlemen's farm. We have chickens and cows. Your kids can collect the chicken eggs during your visit, then cook them in the morning for breakfast. (Note: there are times the chickens aren't laying or predators have gotten them. We do our very best to keep the chickens/eggs laying but we can't always control nature.
We have a HUGE lush front yard where the family can play lawn games while enjoying a country view. There is also a pond and waterfall with a seating area for you to enjoy, as well as a fire pit area for those summer bonfires.
Just a short walk down the road you can hop on the beautiful North Country Trail and go for a hike. You can also bring your ATV and ride for miles. We are minutes from Forest Lakes area which include 5 different lakes. Spider Lake & Arbutus Lake have public access and are excellent fishing lakes. The Grand Traverse Bay is 15 minutes from our home.
This is the perfect place for a large family or 2 or 3 families vacationing together. We're close enough to Traverse City to enjoy all the things it has to offer then come back and relax on the farm.
