Country Bliss
Ruby’s Cottage is charming and really well set up with everything you need plus it has great ambience with stylish and interesting decor. The setting is lovely and peaceful with privacy and views. Lots to see and do in the surrounding area just a short drive away. Great hosts as well as being dog friendly makes it perfect.

A great place to stay for a weekend away from it all!
Thanks Nick and Janee for allowing us to stay in your gorgeous cottage. It was really well equipped, clean, warm and contained lots of lovely touches. We also loved the outside fire pit which provided a great opportunity for star gazing. Communication was always quick and comprehensive, Overall a great stay and one which we would highly recommend to others looking for a country getaway.

Such a beautiful location. The herd of huge steers seemed to be fascinated by us despite our tiny terrier trying to herd them. Very gracious hosts and a very comfortable cottage. Highly recommended.

Julie and I came to Proston to participate in the railway Park parkrun and look round the area.
We enjoyed staying at Ruby's Cottage. A very pleasant and cosy place in a peaceful country surroundings. We would certainly stay there again if we should return to this area.

Idyllic cottage in a peaceful setting
We could not fault a thing about our stay. The cottage has been renovated to a high standard and is clean, comfortable and well appointed. Great location, with sweeping rural views, just a short drive to the township. Hosts, Janee and Nick, were warm, helpful, and just lovely to deal with. They have put in a lot of thought and effort to make this an ideal place to relax, unwind and enjoy the outstanding area. We highly recommend the walk to the sunset view lookout.

Place is amazing and Nick and Janee are lovely and the little touches like fresh eggs/herbs and antiques make it truly amazing. A walk up to the sunset table and chairs is well worth it. I truly wished I owned this place and that Nick and Janee were my neighbours / landlords.

We found Rubys' Cottage to be a beautiful, peaceful and relaxing getaway. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away from the city or life in general. Great place to unplug, or if you are like me and a student a peaceful place to study. Great service by the owners including farm-fresh eggs and herbs. The cottage has everything you could need. Stunning views that go on for miles and the night sky is amazing. Especially if you spend some time out looking at the stars with a fire going in the firepit. Loved it so much we didn't want to leave. Already planning another visit for a longer amount of time.
