It was raining heavily the day we checked in, so it made us cancel a lot of our plans causing us to arrive a lot earlier than our check in time. We had just planned on asking to store our luggage while we wait for the check in time. The front desk was so kind, and the cleaning staff were so efficient that our room was ready early, and they let us check in early. It was so nice to get out of our wet clothes and take a warm bath. We thank the staff for their hospitality. Also, the hotel is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. If I am ever in the area again, I will be sure to book another stay.

この地区のトップのホテルでしょう

往時はこの地区のトップのホテルだったのだと感じました。よくある地方で結婚式やイベントを開催するホテルと思われ、豪盛なつくりになっています。窓からの景色もとてもよいです。 　建物のあちこちに古さを感じます。施設の修理も十分でなく、あちこちが剥がれていたり、そのあたりに不衛生さを感じます。大浴場も利用でき、期間限定、平日のみということですが、夜のカレーサービスはよいと思いました。ただ、JR北上駅からは少し距離があり、北上の繁華街側とは反対側にあるので、車を利用しない旅行での利用は少し不便かもしれません。

コンセントの場所が少ない点が残念。ベッドサイドのコンセントに調光スイッチと連動しているので、部屋を暗くすると電源も落ちます。

昔は地域の人に愛されたそれなりに格式あるホテルだったのだろうと思う。周囲に洗練されたビジネスホテルが増え、客が減っても、かつての栄光にすがって何も改善せず、そうこうするうちに改善のための資金もなくなった。あとはゆっくり死を待つだけという印象。建物が古くても寝具を立派なものにするとか、テレビを大型にするとかドライヤーをよいものにするとか工夫の余地はあると思うが…あきらめているのでしょうね。部屋から川が見えると書かれていたが反対側の部屋から見えるのは巨大なマルハンでした。

　風呂に前の人の髪の毛が落ちていた。車がないと不便、館内で夕食がとれない、コロナ禍の為、営業していないとのこと、駐車場は、7〜8割うまっていたがやりかた次第で入るのではないか？
