THE LAKE - Cabin on Upper Klamath Lake bay at Point Comfort
Klamath Lake is home to 452 bird species and Eagles are often seen in the trees on the property. In the summer the trout come from all over the 94,000 acre lake into the bay in front of the cabin. These wild trout are a strain of steelhead landlocked in the lake 80 years ago. They average 2-3 pounds and fish over 8 pounds are not uncommon. This is a favorite spot for fly fishermen. There are miles of canoe and kayaking trails throughout the marsh. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee and watch the fish jumping in the lake!

PROPERTY and DOCK
The dock will accommodate up to eight average sized boats and comes with a ladder if you happen to jump in. There are 2 peddle boats available for guest use. We have a supply of life jackets. The two acres of land surrounding the cabin are planted in rolling lawns, and natural plant species of the surrounding area. The gardens are beautiful in the spring when the lilac bushes and the flowering trees are in bloom. There are several large rock outcroppings to set off the gentle slope to the lake. We have horse shoes, tether ball, and a basketball hoop.

Harriman Springs Resort is 1/2 mile away with a full bar and dining includes breakfast and lunch with some evenings for dinner, their schedule can change so please check.Lake of the Woods Resort is 8 miles north on Hwy 140, a short 10 minute drive. Lake of the Woods features a restaurant, boat rental, store and excellent swimming beaches. The Running Y Resort is 15 minutes south on Hwy 140 which features bar and restaurant, convenience store, and a wonderful 18 hole Golf course designed by Arnold Palmer, rated as one of the top 100 in the U.S. Crater Lake is a beautiful drive, just 45 minutes north. Lava Beds National Monument a hour to the south. There is a small store and gas station in Odessa. Take 140 towards Klamath Falls about 1 mile, it is on the left. They have gas, propane, and a full liquor store besides butter, eggs, bread etc. These are just a few of the many things to do in the Klamath Falls area.

Lakeside getaway
2 things stand out -- the lakeside view and quiet area and the super-comfy king sized bed. Both these made the stay worthwhile.

Lakeside cabin
Small cabin in a great location. Cabin was clean and comfortable (cold nights required using the wood stove which worked just fine). Location is very nice with lake view and nearby activities. I would certainly stay here again.

Lovely cabin overlooking beautiful lake
The cabin had everything we needed. The host and hostess were delightful people and generously took us out on their boat. We were thrilled to see a bald eagle and a sandhill crane in addition to lots of beautiful scenery

Wonderful location, could use some love
This is a wonderful location. Great views & access to the lake is perfect! The bed really needs to be replaced, if planning on cooking bring knives, and expect a rustic experience - may need to wash dishes & deal with cobwebs & presence of insects. Love this location (second visit but different cabin), however a little bit of love & details would have elevated the stay.

Idyllic
Peaceful lakefront property with everything you need to relax and/or canoe or hike locally. Plus friendly helpful hosts. We were here in fall with our kayaks. Easy access to the canoe trail, thousands of ducks plus lots of pelicnd, bald eagles, otters....Easy paddle to two local bars/restaurants, though we did not use them due to Covid issues

Cabin 1
Property located in a lovely spot. The cabin is quite comfortable though a bit dark and dated. Great shower (water pressure excellent & instant hot water). Absolutely hated the polyester "microfiber" bedding; it's like trying to sleep in a plastic bag, extremely unpleasant.

Anniversary Getaway
Bill was very accommodating throughout the renting process. It was a cozy cabin on a cool weekend and we really enjoyed having a wood stove. We stayed comfortably warm. Beautiful lake front setting where you can walk down to the lake and see the geese and ducks. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice open floor plan, with plenty of space. We had a great weekend!!
