THE LAKE
Cabin on Upper Klamath Lake bay at Point Comfort
Klamath Lake is home to 452 bird species and Eagles are often seen in the trees on the property. In the summer the trout come from all over the 94,000 acre lake into the bay in front of the cabin. These wild trout are a strain of steelhead landlocked in the lake 80 years ago. They average 2-3 pounds and fish over 8 pounds are not uncommon. This is a favorite spot for fly fishermen. There are miles of canoe and kayaking trails throughout the marsh. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee and watch the fish jumping in the lake!

PROPERTY and DOCK
The dock will accommodate up to eight average sized boats and comes with a ladder if you happen to jump in. The three acres of land surrounding the cabin are planted in rolling lawns, and natural plant species of the surrounding area. The gardens are beautiful in the spring when the lilac bushes and the flowering trees are in bloom. There are several large rock outcroppings to set off the gentle slope to the lake.

NEARBY
Rocky Point Resort is ½ mile down the road, accessible by car, a short walk, or a boat ride from our dock to theirs. They have a small store, restaurant with full bar, and boat rentals. Lake of the Woods Resort is 8 miles north on Hwy 140, a short 10 minute drive. Lake of the Woods features a restaurant, boat rental, store and excellent swimming beaches. The Running Y Resort is 15 minutes south on Hwy 140 which features bar and restaurant, convenience store, and a wonderful 18 hole Golf course designed by Arnold Palmer, rated as one of the top 100 in the U.S. Crater Lake is a beautiful drive, just 45 minutes north. Lava Beds National Monument a hour to the south. These are just a few of the many things to do in the Klamath Falls area.

The views of the lake are just breathtaking. The cabin is cute but it’s a bit quirky with its extension cords and older pipes. We would definitely stay here again though!

Beautiful Cabin, wonderful area
We had never been to this section of Oregon. The cabin is in the sweetest little area with grass, aspen, and Klamath Lake. We will stay here again. A+!

Great
in general just an amazing experience. Day of check-in some issues with the Wi-Fi that were mine. But password on slip of paper looked like a large c when it was lowercase so that was a little frustrating. Mgr never responded back. Also was told that there would be free kayaks use, with life preservers in box on the dock. The kayaks were there but no paddles and no life preservers.

Gorgeous property!
Our time couldn't have been more perfect. Husband caught a fish on his birthday and the lightning storm was spectacular. Very peaceful and private. First time to the area and it won't be our last!!

Favorite home on Upper Klamath Lake
This was our third year in a row staying here and we just loved it. Our canoes were safe down at the waters edge and the views from the cabin are fantastic. We didn't use the fireplace this time but were plenty warm with the wall heater and space heater. We're already planning a longer stay next year!

Lakeside getaway great for kayaks
This was our third visit and will not be the last. The lakeside location is wonderful especially if you are interested in checking out the canoe/kayak trail on your own or the provided kayaks. The cabins are comfortable and equipped with everything you need.

Cozy little cabin
What an amazing place to stay and relax. The property is very well maintained and the lake is just a few feet from the cabin. I ignore wether the kayaks are not available all the time or the tenants since those were not advertised, but we did appreciate to have those around us. We arrived the day after a holiday and we had the whole property and the lake just for us during our four days stayed. Beautiful, quite, isolated.
