"Great location to explore the Peaks and views from the village are breathtaking. Three local pubs but didn’t serve the food and unfortunately the fish and chip shot is closed until early January so we had to buy some food from the CooP. Parking is tricky unless you have a really small car but we’ve managed to park not far from the property and we could walk to places locally. The cottage has all you’d need for a few days stay and any questions we’ve had were quickly responded to by the owner...

"We frequently stay in holiday properties and so know what you can get for £140 / night and sadly this was not up to the standards we would expect. The cottage is lovely, in a lovely sertting but it is very damp with mould around the windows and mildew on the curtains. "The place was gorgeous! The staff were helpful. We only stayed for 1 night but was a special night celebrating partners birthday, they put a balloon in the room for us and also gave a happy birthday dessert to my missus! Made it just that little more special. The beds were comfy with good choice of pillows! View was nice also from room. Pool facilities were nice! Only downside was if wanted to sit on a bed you couldnt as people at towels on them to 'use' them even though everyone was in the pool or away. Would stay here again! Lovely place! Thank you "

"We have stayed at the Old Hall Hotel over many years. On each visit we have never been disappointed with anything the hotel offers. A stay at the hotel is a unique experience. Its long history, in a wonderful location, reflects an atmosphere and character not possible in a more modern hotel. Checking out this time, we were a little bothered to receive a bill for room service drinks which we hadn't had. The matter was resolved easily and pleasantly by the receptionist and wont affect our memory of an enjoyable stay. We will certainly return again. "

"Perfect nights stay Bath and shower enough lighting in the room comfy bed and bedding full length mirror and magnifying mirror plenty of charging points hairdryer iron and board mini fridge safe . Best of all is the spa with plenty of diffent rooms to go in and pools including the outdoor pool with jacuzzi and waterfall bar open 24h brilliant overall "
