"The pool doesn’t have jets or a circulation filter and is full of insects. The nightclub is behind the resort on top the hill and you hear loud music at night. The walls are paper thin and you hear other guests and workers banging on metal. "

"Definitely not worth the money. Greated in my room by dead geckos, spiders and undesirable odour. Woke up horrendously bitten by bed bugs. Would have complained by could never find anyone at the reception area. A painful stay I wish it never happened. As I write this review I am itching away. The swelling with subside but no amount of ointment will get rid of the memory of this hell hole. Please for the safety of public fumigate the room."

"Water pressure was low or non-existent for long periods. Stingy .. drinking water was not replenished on 2nd day. A few mosquitoes .. but no repellents??"

"Staff in reception doesn;t speak English very well"

"Ce guesthouse est devenu une maison de chambres. Aucun service n’est offert: pas de ménage, pas d’eau fourni par l’hotel, pas de changement de serviettes, niet! Une nuit ou deux, passe toujours, une semaine c’est long, longtemps."

"I booked this guesthouse for my friends on a very short notice and all other places were already fully booked. Honestly we did not expect too much because of the price. But for a short stay, if you want to safe some money or if there are no alternatives, we can recommend this place. Even the AC worked surprisingly good. They do not have housekeeping so if you stay longer you need to clean the room by yourself. In other words: For this price the guesthouse surprised us in a good way. "

"This place was awesome! I didn't know what to expect, but we had a very large apartment/townhome with a kitchen, big bedroom and bed with a very comfy comforter, large living space great for hanging out, and a huge outdoor patio that's covered and great for hanging out. The place is only for 2 people, but if you want a relaxing or romantic time away, it's great, or can hang out with friends there because there's so much room. It's about an 8 minute walk to the beach so not very far. Will...

"Only 100 meters from the pier, where the boat drops you. Very quiet. Very clean. All rooms overlook the sea. You are literally 10 meters from the sea. Walk the 100 meters back to the pier and you are in the area with bars and restaurants. Lovely staff, willing to help with anything. Each room has a seating area outside with a hammock. So relaxing. Good breakfast too, which was not included in my package, but cheap enough. Would recommend Sunrise Villas & would definately stay again."

"Samed Pavilion is a convenient base for this area of the island. Whilst not the most luxurious stay in the area, it is clean, pleasant and the staff are friendly and efficient. Strongly recommend for those who prefer to enjoy beach life rather than spend all their time on holiday in a hotel. "

Ideal beach getaway

"Great hotel close to the beach. Ideal location not far from the pier and main areas. Location of restaurant and cafe on the beach is great. Friendly staff and service would def book again. Only negative to say would be the room and pillows smell a bit musty but generally was clean and comfortable. "
