I had a wonderful experience with my family. I have been living in USA for more than 26 years and visited 20 plus countries. I would say that the ITC Royal Bengal meets and exceeds international standards. I stayed with my family for 2 nights. I would certainly recommend my friends and bring my family again. This is supposed to be the flagship property/hotel in Kolkata. The hotel itself is excellent, rooms and facilities are clean, rooms are very well maintained, view from room was fantastic. However, we had breakfast and afternoon tea included in our package. The breakfast area was very disappointing, extremely crowded and very poorly managed. Looks like a roadside dhaba and that too with extremely slow service. We have to wait for almost and hour to get in and then had terrible experience getting some hot food. Ordered some omelette/dosa which took for ever, and have to remind them multiple times. hotel should improve their breakfast area/facility. Similar experience at the afternoon tea area. Over congested and have to wait for all the appetizer for ever.
