"Lovely place to stay. Comfortable. Many stairs. Vehicle required, but parking is limited. Be very careful to not park in the lower lot, as it is chained at a very early hour in the evening, and you will not be able to access your vehicle until morning."

"The staff at Nova Constantia were awesome. Coco was very welcoming, warm and funny. The ladies preparing and serving breakfast were incredible. The house - calling it a hotel does it a disservice - is beautiful. The rooms warm and inviting, and it really felt like being at a home away from home. "

"Unique property for an overnight stay. Enjoyed the extra touches especially the hot water bottles for a cold African night. We were able to leave our bags safely prior to check in while we went to the Cape, then our room became available so we had an unexpected early check in which was above and beyond. Thank you!"

"Beautiful room in a convenient location for the penguins and close to restaurants, shops etc. stocked with everything you need and a nice balcony. Bed was comfortable and the shower was good. Would definitely recommend."

"Great location, easy walk to harbour front, bars and restaurants. We had the comfort suite, which was seperate to the main guest house. It was very, very spacious, with wonderful views from the master bedroom/lounge on the first floor. It was cold whilst we were there. There is a log burner on each floor which you can purchase firewood/lighters for at reception. This was a must for the cold days. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were friendly and helped when needed. The property is located up a steep hill, so easy to walk into town. Jenny kindly fetched us from town one night & we got an Uber the other. "Fantastic hotel, the staff polite and very helpful, nothing too difficult . We had a problem with the room, it was promptly sorted, Mickey was absolutely great. The rooms spacious. The restaurant staff great. Taj cape town has become my new fav hotel. I will absolutely recommend it and will definitely stay there again on my return to cape town. "

"I sgayed in the sugar daddy suite and absolutely loved it! The hotel is beautiful and the toom was very spacious. When i checked in i was warmly greeted and the staff helped me bring my bags upstairs. They do have an elevator as well. The rooftop area was gorgeous and had great music playing in the evening. The restaurant had amzing food that was freshly made each day and a food amount of options. They also had a cake of the day with a cappucino special (best way to end the day!). It was located 2 bkocks from the hop on and off bus tour and one of their main office. I would highly recommend!"

"We stayed at this hotel for 4 extra nights after our 2 week South Africa tour ended. It was a great location to walk to many meeting points for the tours we organized. The room was on the small side but we managed with one queen bed. The full breakfast (included) had plenty to choose from. All staff were attentive & helpful while assisting with our many questions. We highly recommended this hotel! "
