"This was a lovely stay! Every person I spoke with was kind and helpful. The room was magnificent. The bathroom was amazing. The deep soaking tub was a dream, and the set up was beautiful, too. This hotel is near to so many options, and I walked right to the shore as well. There is an attached restaurant with excellent options, I was very pleased. Breakfast is included for a fee, and I feel it was a nice touch. I enjoyed the offerings. It was a lovely stay and I would love to come back in the future."

"Loved the basement spa! Really friendly and accomodating staff. Rooms are small but sufficient. Clean! We managed to get one of the few free hotel parking spots they have available which was a nice bonus. Classy upstairs bar. A great first night stay in Iceland. Convenient walking distance to downtown Reykjavík. "

"Very friendly staff and helpful with suggestions for things to do in and outside town. Rooms are quite nice with comfortable mattresses wonderful bathrooms with high pressure hot water available. The fact that the rooms are right in the middle of the downtown area made for easy access to everything. Three downsides. 1. The buildings for the rooms are scattered around about a km radius from the main city center. But, the lobby is also in a completely different location. Even though I had stayed previously and knew this situation, google maps will lead you astray by taking you to one of the buildings away from the check in lobby and there isn't a good spot to "pull over" and try to figure it out as the downtown parking is awful. 2. Their little "kitchen's" are very minimalistic. No freezer section of their small refrigerators and no oven. We made the mistake of buying some food before arriving that required an oven and had to let that food go to waste. 3. Parking is REALLY bad. The first night, I had to park the car nearly .5 km away from where we were staying. Later, I learned when and where to park that would get us within 100 m. Fortunately, there is an app called "Parka" which will allow you to deal with the tolls easily. "

"This hotel is the place you want to stay at. It is outside of Reykjavik by 12 min, by taxi 20 min by public bus. The hotel is wonderfully themed with a great restaurant next to it. The night manager, Karolina at the front desk is absolutely lovely person. When we arrived at 2am Karolina warned us about getting restaurant reservations for Dec 31st & Jan 1st in the city because, as we found out, Icelandic people take there national holiday very seriously closing absolutely everything including the public busses by 2pm. We tried getting a restaurant reservation but to no avail. The hotel room has a fridge & the grocery stores were going to be open. Every night we saw her at the desk & had long conversations with her. She’s was an absolute delight & deserves a raise. (Karolina the night desk person for hotel Viking and another part of the hotel sister setting.) I swear another hotel will snatch her up, because she’s that delightful. Each room has a type of sauna. Our view was great of the harbor. The breakfast was excellent as well to the hotel. You need to take photos of everything including the cave section of the breakfast area. This hotel was perfectly themed & I would suggest this hotel to everyone. Only one change I would do is having the restaurant as a buffet style during national holidays, depending on how many guest you will be staying. We don’t realize what will or will not be open in this country. Thank you again, do stay here. "
