"In an attempt to beat all the tourists to Plitvice Lakes, we decided to drive up the night before and stay at the Plitvica Lodge so we would be one of the first to the park when the park opened at 7am. "We were traveling to Croatia and decided on apartment Josipa. We arrived at 10 o'clock at night and the owner met us and directed us to the property. I will say that when you first come to the apartment it is not easy to find in the dark. We were lucky and the owner, bless her heart, was following our every move with a flashlight to show us the way. Probably our fault for showing up so late but we got settled in just fine. "The Staff was fantastic. They were so helpful with tips about visiting the park - which was beautiful- and we had great service in the dining area. The food was delicious- especially the dinners. We ate there both nights of our stay - it was so convenient. Just make sure you have cash for the meals at checkout. They don’t accept credit cards. "
