Brasserie wasn’t open and no on site facilities to make tea coffee water or breakfast. Room was hot and stuffy unable to open the windows. Also be warned the bathroom has no door and has a glass window so very little privacy!

Great and different place to stay
I really like to stay at this boat hotel. It's been my second time.The atmosphere is great and unique. It rocks a little bit when other boats pass by but, hey, life is not perfect and after a while I got used to it. The bar and restaurant upstairs are welcoming and the food is good. Every time I go I meet nice interesting people!

The only way to describe this place is unique. Don't bother going to a stuffy normal hotel, stay on a barge for the night. The bar upstairs is well stocked and there are various types of places to eat within 300 metres. The rooms have ensuite shower/sink/toilet and the view out of the windows makes you the animal in the zoo as the local wildlife looks in thro the window on a morning. The host Stefan is a joy to be with. Next time I am in the area I will not hesitate to book a room (cabin)

The Bootel Ahoi is a small-ish ship that is docked along the non-shipping channel of the Leie River. The rooms are river view, and by that I mean the river is at the bottom of your window! My room was clean, comfortable but basic, and a little stuffy -- the fan helped but not a place you open your windows for fresh air. There is a happy hour bar on the top deck that is relaxing and you are not that far from the city center. I think they have done a good job in making it a unique place to stay. Kortrijk is a city experiencing much growth and revitalization.

A Unique Experience
The overwhelming reason for staying here is the experience of spending the night on a boat. Having said that, the boat and the rooms are very clean. Staff is friendly, the deck sitting area and it's bar are very relaxing.

Exceptionally clean hotel, close to town centre
Excellent hotel, very difficult to believe that it has been open for five years every where was spotlessly clean and the décor in excellent condition. We had the grand cabin that was large and spacious, only downside was that the window could not be opened to allow fresh air into the room. Beds were very comfortable but the nights sleep was disturbed by the loud knocking and groaning created by the boats movement caused by the waves from passing large boats. Breakfast rather expensive (€9.90) for what is offered. Overall a very good place to stay.
