"The property is basic, but well maintained and food is pretty good mostly. Beer available to buy. No wifi - but you can get a poor connection from receptionist's phone acting as hotspot. "I loved this unique hotel, it was a tick off the bucket to stay in the rainforest! The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent and great value for money. It is very easy to get to the animal centres and I was still able to access the internet so could order grab taxis. I’d definitely recommend bringing bug spray! 100% would recommend, where else can you stay in the rainforest?!"

"Here you get a small cheap room with not much nearby. Couldn’t find a beer at night. The small room was clean and the staff were nice. There’s no lift/elevator so if you’re on the 2nd floor or higher it’s just up and down the stairs. No phone in the room so every time you have a question for the front desk you have to go down the 2 or 3 flights of stairs. I was just there 1 night so it wasn’t much of a problem. Not sure what else is available in Lahad Datu."

"For the area of Sandakan that this hotel is in this is a pretty good option if you really have to stay here! I would not recommend the area at all. The staff here were very attentive and friendly. The room was adequate but the pillows were horrendous! Just lumpy lumps of hard sponge! The shower and sink use a pump system which was not smooth at all and you either had a ‘power’ shower or a trickle.
