Peace Laguna was a haven away from the craziness of Ao Nang. The resort itself is pretty, with maintained grounds and beautiful gardens.
Like other reviews, the hotel is a bit tired and could do with some paint and uplifting here and there.
The three pools are nice, kept mostly clean. We enjoyed the pool in the middle of the resort the most, where you had an infinity view of the lagoon. It's a pretty spot for an afternoon of relaxing.
We stayed in deluxe cottage overlooking the lagoon and the main pool. The cottage was beautiful and a definite highlight. It was huge, comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the monitor lizards swim and reading. If returning, I would definitely reserve this type of room again.
Breakfast was good overall. A nice amount of choice, and as you'd expect for a hotel.
Service was okay, staff were friendly when you engaged with them.
One disappointing feature was the gym - I would not even call it that. Two or three of the weight equipment were broken, so much so that during our 6 night stay we used it once as it was just insufficient. For a 4 star hotel that advertises its fitness suite, this was substandard. I think if we had known this, we would have reserved elsewhere.
