Great hotel, very clean. It is within the area where are all the shops, restaurants, and the nikishi market 3-4 blocks away. There is a bus station just 1 block from the hotel where you can go to several tourist points. Breakfast was amazing.

A very pleasant stay, the fact that there is a mini launderette available is much appreciated. There was a slight smell in the room that I couldn't place, not unpleasant, maybe slightly chemical? I think it may have from the air conditioning as it was more noticeable when I came back after being out all day. That was the only issue, otherwise an excellent base for Kyoto sightseeing and travel further afield.
