Peaceful location
We stayed here after a week in Paris. It was a great spot to unwind and enjoy the quiet. Central location to what we wanted to see in Normandy.

Christine, the owner, was very welcoming and understanding because we were very late arriving for check-in. We really loved this gite, the 2 main bedrooms were large with wardrobes for hanging space, although we didn't need them. There is a washing machine also and a dishwasher and full cooking facilities. We became acquainted with Jaz the springer spaniel who was very well behaved. We also enjoyed looking around the huge gardens there and they are beautifully maintained. We spent a day out at the Le Mans museum and circuit which is a half hour drive from the gite. The gite is around 3 hours drive from Caen and is situated in a very small and quiet village. I would definitely stay again.

A lovely gite, full of old-world charm yet splendidly modernised and very well equipped indeed, set in beautiful gardens - more an estate! Everything was spotless and high quality. Owner was very welcoming and avaiable if required. We were most impressed!

Great, well equipped property. The owner communicated well and was really helpful. The homemade jam and fresh fruit from her garden were nice touches. Really good location for exploring the Sarthe region and would happily stay again

Lovely gite and stay
Tucked away in a small village the gite is quiet and private. The owners are helpful and on hand but never intrusive. Their lovely dog liked to pay the odd visit too. The gite was spotlessly clean and everything was provided, we didnt need to purchase anything extra. It is quite rural but le Mans and plenty of other towns and villages are easy to get to via car with quiet local roads. Highlights of our stay were visiting le Mans, Mayenne, Abbey de l'Epau, Evron, Laval and plenty of local markets. Highly recommended for a holiday break with or without children.

Charming house, perfect location
We (family of 4 with two teenagers) had a fantastic time at the property. It's a charming house in a picture-perfect village. Super quiet, very clean and very cozy pace. The owner is very accommodating and friendly. It's a perfect place to relax in the lovely garden or discover medieval castles and villages near by. We would highly recommend this property.

Lovely, clean property in a great location - Ideal for visiting Le Mans
We have just returned from a lovely, short stay at La Chapelle-Saint-Fray. Our host was friendly and welcoming, and readily on hand if required. The property itself was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 teenage children). The property was very clean. Facilities were good and perfect for our two night stay. 2 large, beautiful bedrooms and 1 smaller single bedroom in the connecting area between the kitchen and 2 other bedrooms. Location was great for us – only a 25 min car trip to Le Mans. We would certainly recommend the property for a weekend break or as a good stop off point if travelling through lovely Le Mans. We would be happy to return again in the future.

A little piece of France that is totally unspoilt
If you want a holiday that is about experiencing France in its traditional setting, this is it. The gite is situated in a beautiful little village, in the countryside with only the distant sound of tractors collecting the harvest in the sunlit evenings. The cottage is lovely and cool during the day even when it is 35 degrees outside, and the nights are very comfortable. It has everything you need in the way of kitchen equipment, and a dishwasher and washing machine. There is a small store literally a minutes walk from the gite where you can buy fresh croissants and baguettes every morning. Nothing better than sitting outside with a fresh coffee, croissant and a beautiful view of the countryside. Christine, the lady who owns it is lovely, very welcoming, we will definitely be staying there again

To me is the perfect place to relax with your family.. The owners live close by and they are a warm nice French couple.very friendly. The house has everything you need just bring your clothes and food and you are ready to go.I really recommend this place

Madame was wonderful and the house a perfect peaceful slice of heaven. Wonderful sun trap for breakfast and dinner, kids adored the dogs and loved visiting the chickens. Would book again.

Beautiful gite in the sarthe countryside
Our hosts were excellent. They communicated with us a lot before and during our arrival and were very flexible. They fixed an issue with the Internet in just 1 days (we needed it as we were working remotely) The countryside is amazing, covered in little interconnected paths for lovely walks, long and short. The cottage is beautiful and was immaculately clean when we arrived. It had everything we could need for our 3 week stay. Highly recommended!

Très bel endroit qui serait parfait avec quelques améliorations
Le gîte est accueillant et meublé avec goût. L’emplacement est au calme, dans un village. Petit bémol sur quelques aménagements intérieurs : 1/ la porte donnant accès à la salle de bain étant vitrée, un rideau a été posé devant la vitre mais d’une part il a été installé à l’extérieur de la salle de bain (j’ai trouvé ce choix un peu étrange) et d’autre part le rideau n’est pas assez large pour réellement masquer toute la vitre… 2/ concernant la chambre passante, la lampe permettant d’éclairer le couloir menant aux deux autres chambres se trouve en fait au plafond de la chambre passante, si bien que si par réflexe vous appuyez sur l’interrupteur pour éclairer le couloir, la lumière inonde la petite chambre et vous risquez fort d’en réveiller l’occupant…
