"We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping....

He had good English language skills and was very helpful in guiding our still-developing French! There are nearby places, even on the farm, to hike on trails and explore the woods. "We enjoyed a lovely week at the Gite. The house was a very comfortable , cool, converted barn with a well equipped kitchen / dining room and a nice outside space for eating too. The pool area was lovely - very clean and peaceful. The bathroom is relatively basic with only one (separate) toilet. Lovely comfortable beds and beautiful surrounding countryside. "The hotel staff was friendly and our room was clean and spacious enough for a family of 4. The hotel is close to some restaurants, but there is no place to walk nearby the hotel. The breakfast for €8.00 was very basic, no fresh fruit and no eggs but decent coffee. "

"Lovely, quirky hotel right in the middle of the city so very convenient for everything. The receptionists were excellent, so bright and helpful. Particularly helped with the parking as it’s quite tricky when the small car park is busy. The rooms were interesting - each seems to have an individual theme with different colours and attractive vintage furniture. Very comfortable with lovely linen bedding. One small thing is that whilst they have tea and coffee in the room you have to get milk from reception which is a minor but unnecessary inconvenience. The rooms were spotless, as were the interestingly decorated communal areas. The only disappointment was the breakfast which was very standard and not so well maintained if you don’t get there first thing. Oddly, they serve your coffee in a jug with no top which means it goes cold very quickly which is very frustrating. "

"Perfectly located to stay for an early train departure for CDG. 12 minute easy walk to Centre of Angoulême for large variety of restaurants. The area is not very desirable but it is opposite the train station $ that was the objective. Very clean room but unfortunately no fridge or tea/coffee facility in room."
