Just Okay
Finding the property was challenging because the building address is located so that it is visible only when driving from the north and we were arriving from the south. To further complicate matters, our gps indicated the property was located on beach side of street (which is obviously NOT the fault of vrbo host). Also parking access is at north end of complex. Check-in process was challenging due mostly to fact that we were unable to find the parking spot. There are two numbers for each parking spot — E for space number and D for the unit number. Spaces are in order by the E number. This was not clear to us, even after talking to host via WhatsApp. Also there are parking section numbers. So it would have been very helpful to have known this rather than driving around trying to figure out where parking for the unit is located. D numbers in parking lot are not in any order. Recommend you ask concierge up front for help locating parking space (concierge is man at booth at south end of property - he does not speak English).
The next hurdle was hot water. Apparently, when there is a power outage, it triggers a shutoff of the water heater. We woke up to no hot water on our first and second days. The fix is simple once you know where the water heater is and which button to push to re-engage the water heater. However, we were unable to reach our host on first day until noon to find out how to turn hot water back on (sadly resulting in missing our tour of the La Silla Observatory). Otherwise host was responsive and spoke fairly good English.
Property is across street from beach, and street is heavily trafficked so there is road noise.
