"Easily the worst overnight stay I have encountered anywhere in my travels. We had no working water heater the first 24 hours so none of us could shower. The floors were sticky. We killed two sizeable spiders in the unit. The whole place smelled like chemicals but I couldn’t quite place what they were. "We had an unbelievable time staying at Casa Ceoil in Ruan near Ennis, County Clare. This property is absolutely beautiful, especially if you love animals. Everything was incredibly clean with all that you can ask for- a great sitting area, washer/dryer, big kitchen table and comfortable bedrooms. Barbara was so kind and we loved touring the farm. "We spent 5 nights at the thatched cottage to use as a home base for day trips to Southern Ireland. It was like stepping back in time but with modern conveniences!! The large farm was peaceful and so much fun to explore. The property was close to Adare for stores and restaurants but yet so private. We did love being visited very day by the two dogs!! Lastly, David was so responsive, helpful and a pleasure to handle everything during the rental. We highly recommend this property."

"I’d like to say that our experience met our expectations on this property, but it actually exceeded it. The property was remote and extremely peaceful, with direct access to a beach for long walks. There were 5 family members and the house was quite spacious. It was exactly what we were looking for. Dermot was an absolute gentleman of a host, and was quick to reply to any concerns or questions we had. We definitely plan to return to Dolphin Cottage!"
