"Had a lovely time in your chateau, thanks very much. The house was really beautiful, loads of space and lots of quirky features like the piano, vintage bicycles and attic rooms. Lady next door selling local cognac was very friendly. At night the sky was so dark, excellent for stargazing. The river charente is lovely for swimming in. Super!"

"This is a beautiful gite in rural Charente-Maritime. It's close to some really pretty towns and to a number of excellent swimming lakes. We are family of six (grandparents, parents, two children) and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor space for all of us. "The hotel was beautiful and the staff beyond helpful.. Location was perfect in a beautiful street close to the main square and walking distance to everything. But you must be aware that its a small city ad taxi service is limited... i had to walk to the hotel from the train station and also on my way back.. all the taxis.were fully booked.. 1.4 km not bad but.with a suitcase is not fun... this not the hotel's fault... but you must be aware (the same is i guess for all hotels) "
