"Very nice English influenced clean house. Big garden with all the privacy. Private parking just next to the house. We had very nice chats with the owner. Because of a bit rainy weather sometimes we didn't use the swimming pool much, but the pool was very big and nice to swim in. Thanks Chris and Gill for this lovely week!"

Kirsten, Anthony and Scoobie the dog are great hosts - very welcoming, easy going and knowledgeable about the local area and beyond. Located on the edge of a small attractive village surrounded by a beautiful landscape, views to the Pyrenees from your bedroom window, it really is a special spot. "We were transported back to the 13th century which is the age of this beautifully restored gîte. Our hosts Pascal and Christine were welcoming and answered all our questions about the area. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. Local amenities such as a foie gras cooperative and boulangerie in nearby Riguepeu and Vic Fezensac were part of our feeling of being at home among new friends."

"Tout est fait dans cette grande maison pour se sentir bien ! Parfaitement équipée - il y a vraiment tout ce qu'il faut - très bien tenue, elle est vraiment originale dans la mesure où il s'agit d'un ancien café rénové. Tout est grand : les chambres, les salles de bains (l'une particulièrement !), la salle à manger avec une table où l'on peut manger à 20 au moins (!), le salon ... nous étions une famille de 10 personnes et tout le monde a trouvé sa lpace !!! "We were met by Kay and Neil and made to feel very welcome. The property was just as described and Kay had left us some provisions such as milk butter etc. The gite is very well situated to explore the region, and is a 20 minute walk into the village of Madiran, which has 2 restaurants and a boulangerie. Neil was always on hand to help us out with any questions and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a nice relaxing, peaceful holiday. Jim Relph."

"We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions, it is very basic but suits our needs as an overnight stop with a dog. Last night we arrived and found the toilet seat cracked through and the sink cracked, the shower sealant was mouldy. I informed the reception about the toilet seat and was told there was no other rooms available and she thanked me for telling her. This morning at breakfast I gave my dog a piece of my paid for baguette and a piece of cheese, the gentleman on reception came into the breakfast room and informed me the food was for humans and not dogs! There was a French man with his dog in the breakfast room, he gave his dog food with no problem. We will not be staying here again and I would not recommend this hotel based onmy latest experience, I felt extremely threatened by the attitude of the male receptionist and his manner towards me. "
