We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was huge and well laid out for our group. It was was close to wineries and the downtown area of Chimney Rock.

The upstairs bathroom needed a shower there was a strange looking tub that you could spray yourself down with . A lot of wasted space definitely could use a remodel .

Its a beautiful cabin in a very nice ...quiet and private location. It could use a bit of updating....but was very comfortable We planned this family vacation around our 2 1/2 year old granddaughter who loves the outdoors....she enjoyed the Riverbend watering hole...very close to the house but take your car if you have a little one or grandparents who cannot walk a very steep hill! We found lots of adventures....but the Lake Lure beach was not open ....except for weekends....disappointing....and the Train museum is closed...

The home was exceptional. Very large yet cozy and clean. It was perfect for a large post-Christmas get together.

Simply wonderful. The cabin was everything we thought: plenty of room for our group of seven, gorgeous views, peaceful neighborhood, lots of activities and hiking areas within close distance. We traveled with two boys (12 and 10), and they found plenty of activities within walking distance of the cabin to keep them entertained the whole week. I’m hoping to return to this lovely cabin again next winter!

The property was nice and the location was convenient to Lake Lure. Cabin was well equipped and offered what you needed to make your stay pleasant. The check in process at the gate upon arrival is a little difficult but once you're in, you have access to key cards making coming and going easier. The cabin could use a good cleaning to remove some dust and cobwebs that collect over time. Overall, a nice place, wonderful location.

6/10

Overall the cabin was ok. Beautiful living room area and fireplace for the whole family to gather. There were large cobwebs in the living room area high cielings. Its advertised as 5 bedroom for 12 guests however only 4 bedrooms with a loft and even though there were only 10 guests we were charged an extra person fee with no real clear explanation why. The outside grounds are not well kept and not inviting to spend any time outdoors other than the deck areas. The upstairs bathroom is only a tub, no shower and no stopper to be able to even fill the tub. Showers were backing up and slow to drain and toilets slow to flush and drain. The free night included was a plus. The area is probably better enjoyed during the warmer months and once the Chimney Rock area and roads reopen. There is nothing to do with most places being closed.

The property was the perfect size for us. There were nine adults (4 couples) and one 11 year old. It was close to most things we wanted to do ( whitewater rafting, UTV, ziplining). There were plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. It was a great cozy place to unwind after the days adventures.

Wonderful cabin in the most beautiful area , with lots to do . Private gated community, with private lake to swim and boat. Cabin has lots of room for a large family . I would love to stay there again if all the maintenance issues are resolved .

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in the area for a wedding and were very busy. We do wish we could have enjoyed the cabin a little more. The only complaint I have is the hot water really only lasts through one shower which was disappointing considering the home has so much room for guests. It was one of the cleanest properties I have stayed at in a while. Also very private which was nice!

Multi generational trip. The home was immaculate with plenty of room. The location is beautiful and our daily walks to the lake and the river were lovely. The house had everything we needed to prepare meals for our large group. We had movie days on the two rainy days we were there. Highly recommend.

We stayed in this lovely home this November. The area is beautiful and the cabin was perfect. It was clean and spacious. Liz was great to work with, always responding in a timely manner. The cell phone reception is poor which was actually a nice break, but important to know. There are also no fires allowed outside, but there is a nice fireplace indoors; remember to bring wood. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of pans, utensils, cups, & a great starter set of salt, pepper, dish washing liquid. I would most definitely stay here again.

We have stayed at many rentals in the mountains and most have been great but little cleaning issues here and there. This cabin was by the the cleanest place we have ever stayed. We were all amazed that even the high and hard to reach area that you can see from the loft were even dusted. Outside furniture was cleaned off and ready to sit in. Liz was a great host. Very response and extremely nice. We asked for paddles and lifejackets to use their boats in the lake and within minutes they had them to our cabin. We will be renting from her again. The Riverbend community was a great location for our family with so much outdoor stuff to do and keep the kids entertained. Highly recommend renting this unit or one of her other 7 cabins.

10/10

For my first time in Lake Lure and the process of booking a cabin, the experience was awesome. The booking process was seemless. The property owner was very expediate and detailed in all correspondence. The cabin was just what my group needed. The cabin was very clean and cozy. The master bedroom loft was perfect. My only criticim is that the small television was too tiny for the size of the great room. When we return to Lake Lure, this cabin will certainly be in the top of our list.

Awesome house in the mountains. Loved all the wood furniture and that the deck was completely fenced off so our dog could be outside with us. The kitchen was nice and spacious and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the cozy log house atmosphere. The king bed is located upstairs and is a loft feeling room (for those looking for privacy, there isn't any sound wise). The spacious bathroom upstairs does not have a standard shower, just a large tub with a handheld shower faucet, but there is a shower on the main floor and in the basement, so no big deal for us. There was a pet bin with bowls and blankets which was a nice touch in case you forget any supplies for your pet. We would definitely rent here again, it was a great place!

It was a really nice house, spacious at a great location. just be aware one of the main bathrooms do not have a shower, you will run out of cold water quickly, and you will spend your last morning making sure the place is spotless just so housekeeping (which you have to pay cash $200 for) can come clean at 10am when you leave. Check out is way too early considering everything you have to do to make sure the owner is happy. If it wasn’t due to this, I would 100% return to this place.

The cabin is ok but need to be updated, wifi terrible we have to use our phones, only 3 TV , no smart TV , no privacy at all , the bedrooms doors lock not functioning, not much to do in winter time except chimney rock state park ..

The house was not clean there was pet stains everywhere the beds were horrible. The water system sucked we couldn’t hardly shower while there I’m so glad I had brought a blowup mattress because you could barely sleep on their beds all together I just would not at all stay here or any of their cabins again sorry I just wasn’t impressed by any of it at all.

There were insufficient accommodations for 10-12 individuals (i.e., number of plates, bowls, flatware, outside seating). Towels were to be provided but upon arrival we found just one wash cloth/hand towel/bath towel provided knowing we were staying 3 nights and were a group of women. No extra. There was no door for master bedroom located upstairs. Loved the decking area that provided covered and uncovered area. Very spacious and comfortable cabin.
