"The location of the hostel is unbeatable, although the cleanliness is abit dubious. Found some strands of hair in the bed so I wondered if the sheets were changed. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay, with a huge kitchen and lounge that is really appreciated. There’s also a supermarket nearby that adds to the convenience."

"Only got to stay 1 night but we were really happy with Mantra Lake Tekapo. We had a large 2 storey house with 3 spacious rooms and good bedding options. I was impressed that it was the first place, we've stay on our entire trip, that had 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets! Much needed for a family of 5 or more. The pool was unfortunately closed for maintenance but the Tekapo Pools were not far up the road and had great views. The lake itself and main shops is close by, easy walking. So pretty! Dining is limited but a few options and there is a good grocery store there too. "
