"The area was a little remote, but the house was exactly as described and plenty big enough for 3 family groups with a wide range in children’s ages. The outside areas worked brilliantly well, plenty of shade or sun as required. The area was really peaceful and we had deer wandering around the area. The property owner was really helpful with all our questions and responded really quickly. If I’m being picky due to the heatwave we would have appreciated. Air con in the downstairs bedrooms....

"Lovely original French farmhouse in a quiet rural part of France. House was exceptionally well equipped and larger than the photos indicate. Especially liked the large, well cared for pool and the various outside seating areas that allowed for lots of outdoor meals. Nearby town, only 15mins drive has some nice local shops for croissants etc. if we can, we would like to go back one day"

"We have just returned from an 11 day stay at Lacheze. The accommodation was excellent, very peaceful, lovely pool area, everything you need for a stunning holiday. The owners are on site and we’re so accommodating. A perfect holiday destination."

Although he lives next door, we had total privacy, except for the times he brought round much welcome vegetables and herbs from his garden. Nothing was too much trouble. "Le Mayrinet is a rural gite and was much as we expected. It is situated about a 20 minute drive away from Verdun-en- Garonne where there are two supermarkets with everything you need for your stay. However if you are looking for lots to do, then expect to have to drive some distance! "Grote prachtig gelegen vakantiehuis met een schitterend uitzicht . De ontvangst door de beheerder Stephen was erg vriendelijk. Het huis heeft wel wat onderhoud nodig. Losse terrastegels en klemmende deuren. Het huis heeft wel de charme van een statig Frans landhuis. De schoonmaak liet te wensen over. Haren op de badkamervloeren en zelfs een niet geleegd vuilnisbakje in de badkamer. We hebben wel heel erg genoten en tot rust gekomen in dit afgelegen vakantiehuis."

Great hosts and meal but the rest is average

"The dinner was the best bit and the hosts were kind and welcoming! Everything else was a bit less than average. We were looking for a short stay with a spa and had used the filter in hotels.com to select the B&B. On arrival we were very surprised that the spa is not included in the room we had booked and were forced to upgrade. This was extra strange because the hot tub is not attached to the "suite" as you might expect. Instead its directly next to the main entrance which is also the kitchen. Not very relaxing to sit there when all the other guests are parking the cars and saying hello as they walk past. We were also a bit unlucky with the Stink bugs during the period we were there. They were everywhere, even in the bed and around the room. The room needs some fly screens to keep them outside. The room smelt a mix of damp and too much air freshner, the barhroom was in the corridor and has a tiny shower. All in all a bit disappointing but im still giving an ok score because the original price was reasonable. Just keep in mind that adding dinner and an hour of hot tub will tripple the initial bill of a standard room."

"I was extremely pleased with hotel de college! Beautiful hotel, well appointed room, very happy with the thermal baths right next door. My room also had a mini kitchen which was fantastic as a great to go kitchen basically across the street(and I was by myself doing the gr 65). I hate hotels who don't let you open the windows so this was also a plus. Best night of my trip so far!"
