Great facilities and very friendly staff at the hotel. Lovely breakfast , a great selection! Main issue was with the cleanliness. When I arrived and checked in, the bathroom smelt awful and I quickly found that it was because the toilet had been left unflushed, I assume from the previous person. To the side of the bed and behind the bed was also super dusty. Other than that though , nice hotel.

Really enjoy staying at Holiday Inn across the world. They are simply comfortable and always have a good atmosphere. I come out feeling content and happy! There were a few issues with the room I was in. The aircon didn’t work. There was a bathroom hook missing to hang the towel. But that was really it and didn’t make any difference to the quality of service provided and the great breakfast they had! Thank you.

The rooms are spacious, and the breakfast offers a good variety of food. The staff are polite and this about summarises all the positives. The carpets in the rooms and corridors are old and worn, giving the hotel an outdated and dirty feel. Carpet in the room felt and looked dirty. The biggest issue was the lack of USB plugs, which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. We only had a charging cable and were disappointed to find no USB options—just a limited, old fuse boxes. Instead, the hotel offered a machine at reception to buy a charger, which was nothing more than a cash grab. Majority of the amenities need to be updated to meet modern standards. No TV or a safe in the room - not a major issue for us but felt odd for a hotel that advertises itself as a 4-star.

The room we booked was unavailable and the reception staff offered nothing as an apology, only blaming it on Expedia. The room was in poor repair (sockets not working / bedside lamp with no bulb and taped over). There was a beeping from the corridor all night which resulted in a poor nights sleep.

A comfortable stay and good value for money.
We planned to visit the Lakes, but chose to stay in Lancaster and travel in because of the facilities and value for money. The swimming pool and spa was the main selling point. We all enjoyed the swimming pool but unfortunately the spa hot tub was not working. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom looked new and clean, except for the old shower hose which had exposed plastic flex and black spots of mould. These are very cheap and easy to replace. The breakfast was good and staff very helpful although at times they were slow to replenish items. Overall, a very pleasant stay with only a few small shortcomings.

The family room was absolutely enormous for the 3 of us. Breakfast was quite chaotic with no cups or glasses, things having ran out plus the coffee machines not working. Also the pool was closed for maintenance and this was our main reason for choosing this hotel. We were given a free late checkout which was helpful

Ok for a night’s stay
Reasonable hotel for a one night stay. Room & shower room / WC were ok, bed was comfortable. Not sure that AC worked to warm the room but there was a plug in electric radiator which was effective. Very good choice of room service food, which came quickly and was good. Breakfast not so good - no fried eggs in the buffet & scrambled egg was ‘solid’ & cold but bacon, sausage & tomatoes were ok. Plenty of free car parking.
