"La maison est superbement bien placée ( plage a pied et centre ville à pied ). Impasse très calme et sécurisée. Petit bémol de propreté a notre arrivée, les vitres étaient extrêmement sales avec des grosses traces de doigts. Nous avons dû les laver nous même. Les placards n étaient pas propres non plus. "The house is NOT appropriate for winter rental letting. The main room's only heating system is the old fashionned fire place. The house is not insulated at all. There are gaps around the doors which we tried to block with our sleeping bags; there was no functionning heaters in any of the bedrooms. "This is the quietest holiday on record for us and we always look for quiet locations. The house is a charm and François and Claudine made for the most hospitable hosts. The Vendée has so much to offer and we loved the safe cycling on flat roads using the bikes that came with the property. "There were 12 of us in total for our stay, adults and young children. Emeline managed to find 3 cots, highchairs/booster seats and baby baths for us which really helped with our young children. We had a lovely time at the house Frederick and Emeline were very friendly and helpful, they live on site but they are not intrusive. A great stay in a lovely holiday home

"Had a fantastic 10 days with the family. Our host was very welcoming. Spacious and functional house, inside and out, perfect to accommodate all 13 of us with plenty of communal areas. Perfect to switch off and relax

"Perfect size for a family of four! Not too big, ideal as a holiday home. The kitchen has all that is needed and sitting room and dining room was particularly handy on the one really wet day that we had. The big selling point for this property, is the outside space, and particularly the pool area! Many an hour was spent chilling by the pool and most lunches/dinners were had facilitated by the pool area kitchen (hob and BBQ were very much utilised) - which is definitely an asset for this property. Our dog also loved all the different areas of the garden - which is completely secure, so there were no worries about where she was at any time. The pool itself, was very easy to maintain, and our 14yo enjoyed the responsibility of checking the chemical levels in the pool each evening! The surrounding area is very beautiful and it was great exploring the woods and the cycle/footpaths with the dog every morning (all very clearly identified and marked by the Vendee department), I found a total of 5 6-8km walks without having to go on any roads - many of which were shaded which was a blessing in the warm summer mornings. The hosts were very easy to contact and very responsive, and any issues were addressed and sorted quickly. We would certainly book this property again."

"My family had a wonderful stay. The gite is thoughtfully designed and very well equipped. The furnishings are up-to-date and everything works well. The beds are comfortable. The swimming pool and hot tub are delightful. The garden is charming and we enjoyed playing badminton. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and gave us a lot of helpful information. The location is excellent for an outdoor holiday with plenty of boating and walking opportunities nearby. We had a day at the beach (it took about 1h20m to drive there). Highly recommended."

"The door didn't close without us slamming it, some staff were very friendly but others were quite rude and didn't tell us when the breakfast buffet moved next door until we came downstairs and reception was locked so we knocked until someone answered. The area around the hotel is lovely but the hotel itself isn't the best. It's old, with black mold in the shower railing, orange soap scum staining the curtain and poor ventilation, even worse AC. Says the soap etc is included but provided only one hand soap which was poorly functioning as the bag inside the dispenser was broken. If you like lizards we did see one outside though, very cute."
