After Hurricane Helene, my property at Timber ridge is in perfect condition and ready for your stay. The house has power, and the roads leading to and from the area are fully accessible.
The town of Boone and surrounding areas are operating as usual, with businesses open and welcoming visitors. Despite the recent storm, there are still plenty of beautiful places to visit, and the peaceful sunsets from Timber ridge remain as breathtaking as ever.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to hosting you and ensuring you have a memorable and relaxing stay.

Situate at the end of a cozy, wooded mountain community, Timber Ridge is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, about 12 miles from downtown Blowing Rock. The short, level driveway opens up to a private homestead with a large gravel parking area and a nice sloping cleared yard surrounded on three sides by explorable woodlands, opening up on the backside to incredible year-round long-range views.

The main floor has a wraparound deck, covered on one side and open on two sides, with a new hot tub and a gas grill. Inside, the great room offers soaring, vaulted tongue-and-groove ceilings, eco eco-friendly floors, and a stone wood-burning fireplace. The living room has a large HDTV with DirecTV programming and a BluRay player, comfortable L Sofa furniture, including a queen-size sleeper sofa. There are dining accommodations for up to seven (6) guests, and three (3) at the bar. The kitchen is upscale with granite countertops and newer appliances, a gas cooktop, and custom cabinets. The main floor's half bath/powder room has a one-of-a-kind, artisan, wood pedestal-style sink with a vintage copper faucet.

Locate at the main floor, the Master suite offer a King size Bed with white sheets provided, recessed lighting, fan, HDTV with DirecTV programming, custom bed side tables, dual wormy maple dressers, closet. 2 windows provide the room with natural light, sliding glass doors leading to the deck and the hot tub.
The second floor offer a Queen “Mini -Master “suite with ensuite private bathroom with a shower and tub. It has 3 large windows bringing natural light, making natural surroundings a part of the interior design, HDTV with DirecTV programming, custom bed side tables, dresser, closet, ceiling fan, and Eco-friendly oak floors.

Go up the spiral stairs to the second floor, there is a chaise lounge chair in the loft area, perfect for reading or knitting while enjoying the dramatic views. The loft has a mini office with a desk, light and office chair. In addition, there is a two-person chair that opens to a twin sleeper bed.

Continue up the spiral stairs from the loft to access the widow's peak, surrounded by windows, offering the highest views within miles on this side of the Parkway! The widow's peak, casually furnished with comfy pillows, is ideal for relaxing while reading a book or playing a board game and enjoying the mountain cross breezes with the windows open.

Downstairs boasts a large game room with a gas log fireplace, pool table, foosball table, two live-edge bars with bar stools, HDTV, a futon that sleeps two, and a third full bathroom with a live-edge, built-in dressing bench, and stand-up shower. A sliding glass door leads out to the yard to two sky chairs, and a breath-taking view of the Blue Ridge Mountain!!

The VIEW is amazing! Peaceful retreat
Myself and three buddies spent a long weekend in the side of the hill. Everything we needed was there. House was clean and well appointed. Great fire pit though wood didn’t appear to be provided. A little issue locating property as GPS took me through a gated neighborhood. Once in the neighborhood I was being directed 1.5 miles down a Forrest road only to reach a gate. Avoid access through the Blue Ridge Club. Our stay was overall great!

Family weekend getaway
This cabin is wonderful! Large enough to comfortable fit our family of 5. The basement was a wonderful addition making it a fun game room at night for the kids. All the details in the decor were beautiful. But the most amazing part was the view! They even had a small nature walk which our young kids loved.

LOVE the view and the house!
This house was perfect. First of all, THE VIEW, wow, stunning view of the Blue Ridge Parkway, breathtaking, incredible. It's about 30 mins from either Boone or Blowing Rock, and we got to drive on the Parkway for most of our journeys, so we got to see more incredible views! I loved the architecture of the house, and the details in the structure and furnishings, encompassing local elements and photographs. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking a few meals, the king size bed was comfy and the room nice and dark with curtains closed. We loved the steam shower, and all linens were nice and fresh. We got to bring our dog, enjoyed the yard, nature trail together, and lounging on the deck. And the stars at night! Wow! I live in a fairly rural area, but there were so many more stars! We brought some binoculars which was fun to enhance the view of the mountains and stars. Peter was prompt to reply and kind when I messaged him. We would have loved to been able to stay for longer and hope to return! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful home on VRBO!

Stunning views and every amenity
Very comfortable and beautifully constructed home with every need considered. Well equipped kitchen, ample seating, good bed. Very clean. The satellite internet connection is understandably a bit slow given the secluded setting but there’s plenty else to do. Especially just sit on the porch and take in the changing panorama. Loved the nature walk, the beautiful stone wall with built in bench (nice touch.) August wasn’t the season to try out the fire pit, hot tub, sauna, fireplace but those are wonderful amenities for the fall and winter. Especially appreciate being able to bring the pets!

Best view ever!!
We had a fabulous visit! Loved this home and property. The flowers and greeting to our family was such a nice touch! Well stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture and beds. Nice relaxing hot tub under the stars. Kids loved the pool table and the corn hole boards. We also seen deer, turkey and chipmunks which was really cool! Absolutely amazing view. Probably the best of any cabin we've ever stayed in. Very private. My only suggestion would be to add some labels, as we didn't know there were towels for the hot tub until we were leaving and that would have been nice to know. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing View!
What an amazing view from the back deck - it was just so awesome watching the sun rise and set from the porch. The location was also very close to Blowing Rock and Boone, once you got past a few winding roads. Also, the Property Manager was very responsive and helpful, very appreciative of that. Highly recommend this location!

I have zero complaints about our stay at Timber Ridge. The view really is “Million-dollar”! Only two real bedrooms but the double bed in the game room is comfortable. Deck is beautiful and the fire pit area is very nice. Well appointed kitchen and host was very helpful. Will return if I come back to the Boone area!

Two families came together for a wonderful weekend. The kids enjoyed the pool and fusball tables. Views were breathtaking and the house was so well equipped. Every detail was thought of and it’s such a cozy place to spend time. When we had a question, the owner was very quick to respond. Roasted marshmallows on the outdoor fire pit and spent quality time with our people. We’ll be back!

The best VRBO we’ve stayed at!
First, let me say that we’ve been staying at VRBO and other rental properties across the country 5-10+ times a year with our family for over a decade. This is probably the best property we have stayed at in terms of the accommodations, view and location to major attractions. - The house is gorgeous! Beautiful craftsmanship, nicely decorated, very clean, tons of space for 2 adults, 3 kids and dogs. We could have had 2-3 more people with sleeping accommodations based on their set up. - The sunrise view is amazing! The stars over the mountains are epic. The hot tub has a fabulous view too. Tons of deck space to enjoy the view outside or you can sit inside and enjoy through floor to ceiling windows. - The house is close to Appalachian Ski Mountain and Blowing Rock’s cute downtown shops and eateries. It was not a bad drive to get to Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain either; Grandfather Mountain was on the way there. We had an AWD Subaru which was fine for the roads in rain, slush and some ice. There are some gravel sections of the road on the way to the house which are well maintained. Altogether we had an amazing time and would 100% stay here again!

Absolutely Amazing
Let me start with the negative, if possible AVOID Hwy 268 from Lenior. This route is faster, but it leads to steep, one lane gravel roads with hairpin turns and no guard rails - NOT for the faint of heart. This route can be even more treacherous if there is rain, snow or fog. There is a much better route, if you navigate to Blowing Rock first and then take Aho Rd or Blue Ridge Parkway. This route is mostly paved - A much safer route and really beautiful. The last stretch on Duggar Firetower is steep, but well maintained. As long you maintain your steering and keep on the gas it’s not bad. Might want 4WD or chains depending on weather conditions. Beyond that, the home was amazing, the views were breath taking and sunrise was beautiful. The owners were attentive and the attention to detail was noticeable. Everything was as promised. The kitchen is fully stocked and the bathrooms had little extras, like shampoo, soap, medicine, kids diapers etc, which was really nice. We stayed during Christmas time, the cabin even had a Christmas tree, decorations all throughout and Christmas candles, which was nice! We had tons of linens, they were clean and smelled extra fresh. I personally loved the outside hot tub and the sauna in master bath, worked great!! The cell phone coverage inside the cabin for T-Mo and Verizon is 1 bar or less and the internet is satellite based, so periodically it didn’t work, when it did work it was slow with high latency. Amazing Stay **5-Stars**

We had a very good time staying in this property. The owner was very responsive to questions we had and the view from the house was amazing! The house was isolated so it is a drive to get to the Parkway or Blowing Rock, but we were informed about this. We would recommend this home if you want peace and quiet, a home that has a well equipped kitchen and a beautiful view.

More like a billion dollar view!
From arrival to departure, our stay was exactly as we had hoped! The view will knock you off your feet, so be careful. I wish I could attach a photo because the pictures, in the listing, don’t come close to the colors that we witnessed. The cabin is very well maintained and decorated. It seems that Peter has taken care of all of the comforts that you need to enjoy your stay. Our fur baby absolutely loved it there too. She loved hiking on the nature trail that is right out the back door. It was really great to be able to let her run around without a leash. This VRBO stay, without a doubt, is the best one yet! It checked every one of our boxes.
