"I don't know if you could find a better location in Hobart than the Tasman. Very central, close to restaurants and right along the waterfront. And the room that we stayed in was absolutely top notch. Staff was very helpful and accommodating, housekeeping was excellent. Not much in the way of amenities and we chose to eat elsewhere most of the time, finding that the menus were a bit overpriced but we had great coffee from the restaurant every morning so we were happy campers! "

"We booked a family room and we were pleased to find it was two separate rooms, excellent for noisy kids. Check-in was quick and painless, checkout the same. The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from Salamanca markets, and about 10 minutes from the centre of the city. Parking is only $15 per night but you can park on the street 6pm-8am or on the weekends for free, which we did as were only there Friday night."

Although the site shows pictures of the lovely dining and restaurant area don’t expect it to be open unless it’s the peak season,this was not specified on the site and we were disappointed we couldn’t dine there. Our room was very spacious with an enormous oversized bed and a nice view of the old church opposite. A bit dusty behind the bed but...
