"I had a short experience at this hotel. Tragically I was diverted from SJO to LIR due to bad weather. But this hotel was there with open arms to shelter me from the rain and feed me a nice wholesome breakfast with amazing fresh juices! I felt fueled and ready to tackle another unexpected day of travel! Great stay! Thank you again!"

"Hotel Guanacaste is pretty accurate in what it advertises, it is a good budget hotel with nice staff and owners. We were even treated specially for being returning customers and that is something to value. There is a bar outside and music can be loud in certain rooms, so pack some earplugs if you are a light sleeper, but other than that we were really happy with the experience."

"Basic room, this is not our first stay here. The price is right for an overnight stay and only 7 min. drive to LIR. The shower plumbing issue is always an issue and the pillows need to be updated. The AC unit takes forever to cool the room. Thankfully, the barking dogs next door get locked up at sunset. "

"We stayed two nights, one night on each end of our trip. Clean functional hotel just three minutes from the airport with frequent airport shuttle. Pool was nice though I got stung by one of the many black wasp looking things on the last day. Restaurant was friendly with pretty good food. One room/ night we were there the AC unit was loud and disruptive, other room’s AC unit was better.
