We all really enjoyed just hanging out, playing games, fishing and swimming off the doc. We enjoyed seeing a family of deer in the neighbors yard every evening.

We had a wonderful time. The location was good. The house was tidy. The bedroom with the bed facing the windows is beautiful. However, the ceiling and windows were full of bugs and cob webs, this all above your head while lying down staring at it. The view was amazing tho.

Amazing getaway!!

Rented this with my fiance and a few family members. The location was amazing and the home was very nice. Beautiful scenery around and very quiet. Great place for a weekend getaway!!

The Lake House was everything we hoped for, for our stay. Clean, comfortable beds, well supplied, on the water, excellent view. Had everything we needed to make our stay perfect! Kristin responded immediatley to a phone inquiry that I had. Would most definitely stay again!

Peaceful lake home

Home was beautiful, absolutely loved being able to be right on the lake. She did a great job with quick turnaround of communication. Was a badly needed family weekend getaway and we all really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.

Great place

Perfect for our family. We were only there at night as we hung out at another family house majority of the time, but the set up was perfectly fine for 4 adults and 2 kids. Really appreciated the bucket of toys for the kids!! Very thoughtful and helped us entertain them!

Great fishing - could use some updates

Property was excellent for our fishing fanatics - good dock very easy to access. The property manager was responsive and offered many options for things in the area.The outdoor seating left a lot to be desired. The upstairs bath is tiny and the appliances are in need of maintenance - noisy fridge and extremely noisy dishwasher (the oroperty manager did offer to send someone to look at it while we were there.)If you love to fish and are ok spending more for accommodations - this place was great. If you also like to relax and have a comfortable environment, it may not be the property for you.

A very cute cottage!

This was a comfortable place to stay and very close to the things we wanted to do. The beds were super comfy! The space by the dock was a great place to relax with a fire pit and the provided wood. It was well equipped for both people and fur babies. The neighbors were pleasant and the lake was beautiful. Kristin, our contact, was always available when I called her. We all had a very relaxed stay in comfortable surroundings. Thank you so much!

Cozy on the Lake

This home is charming to say the least. It is beautifully designed and well maintained. With the lake just a flight of stairs away, you can't ask for a better location. It was beautiful, quiet, and full of the kind of nature we just don't have on the south side of Chicago. Conveniently located within 15-20 minutes of everything we wanted or needed.

Breathtaking

My husband and are work for the state. Needing a break away from work. Arriving at the property it was breathtaking, as my husband and I entered we were amazed on how well kept the property was. Easy access to the water. Very relaxing and would definitely return.

First Trip to Ozarks

Had a good time at this property. Family including young grandchild had a memorable vacation. Fishing from the dock was great. Caught a few small mouth bass. The bedroom situation was great for us. The only negative I could say is the master bedroom is open to the downstairs living area so our daughter could hear our early morning chatter from the kitchen. We loved the dock that was recently put there. I would love to have had a ladder on the dock to get out of water and a lily pad for lounging in the water. Waves from passing boats provided a lot of fun for us on our floaties. We will be back.

Lake Stay/Neighbor dog

The stay for the most part was ok. If taking your pets beware of the neighbors dog…both of our dogs were attacked. Our dogs were both on leashes and the neighbor dog wasn’t our entire stay. Not a relaxing feeling for sure! We also had to wash all dishes, silverware, and cookware before using because all were still dirty. Not the way we wanted to start our vacation. Also our favorite bedroom (view is amazing) on the 2nd floor is open on both sides of the porch below it…therefore no privacy! We did enjoy the lake, dock, views, and our family time!

Water leaking!

Friday night the neighbors dog chased our 5 year old and bit my SIL. Saturday water leaked from the attic to the ground level. We quickly found buckets and large bowls and frequently emptied them to prevent floor damage.Maintenance was dispatched but the main level floor leaked until the evening because of the saturation in the ceiling above. There really should be a caution about small children as the 21 steps just outside of a double patio door are quite challenging for children to navigate it is a beautiful location

Not for cold weather

We received a text while driving to the house. They let us know that the heater was acting up and so they shut it off, but said we’d be warm as they had put space heaters in place and had a pellet stove going. We were not familiar with how to operate a pellet stove and it wasn’t running when we arrived. Someone came over upon our arrival and helped us understand how to fill and restart it. On the second day it stopped running again. They got someone out who had to clean the igniter. During the last night of our stay, the pellet stove stopped working again. We left early that morning. Otherwise, the property was clean and our stay fine.
