  • I took this in March in Sintra, Portugal! It's at the fairy tale castle Pena Palace :). This is one of the lovely close-up views. It's is a Romanticist castle that stands on the top of a hill in the Sintra Mountains. And undoubtedly one of the most iconic places in Portugal. And a dream come true to visit it! It is a national monument and constitutes one of the major expressions of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Portugal. It is also used for state occasions by the President of the Portuguese Republic and other government officials. Thanks to Wikipedia for help ;).

Friendly and helpful staff, easy to get to from the main highway from Lisbon, a bit far out from the center and best done with a car. Free street parking available in the area. Within walking distances to nearby local/popular restaurants. Excellent location for doing driving excursions to in and around the area. Accommodations are comfortable and clean. Free breakfast is continental style and quite good.

È una struttura molto bella, camere ampie, ben arredate e pulite, personale gentile e molto disponibile. I voti bassi sono solamente perché la camera era fredda, cuscini e lenzuola umidi..siamo riusciti a scaldarla solo dopo qualche ora anche grazie ad una stuferà che il proprietario ci ha gentilmente portato. Anche la sala per la colazione era molto fredda.. Struttura ottima per le belle stagioni, migliorabile per le stagioni più fredde.
