Our fantastic holiday in Lisbon
Our stay at Junqueira Gardens, was truly amazing, lots to see and do with attractions right on the doorstep. The property comfortably accommodated our party of 8 and was very traditionally finished. The pool was brilliant and our hosts Ricardo and Leanor were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definately recommend this property!

Amazing!
Quirky, full of character and charm. Do not hesitate to stay here, this apartment has been lovingly restored in keeping with its age and has a warmth and personality that is unique. The pool and garden are a mini paradise and extremely private. Edwardo and Leonora are lovely people who are discreet and leave you to yourselves yet are there should you need some information. Would stay here again in the blink of an eye.

A beautiful space
We loved our time here! We enjoyed the Belem location and appreciated the kindness of the hosts. It was nice to be in a more relaxed area of Lisbon. We relaxed in the courtyard and used the pool. We were a group of 6 and had plenty of space. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Spacious and Gracious
We took a girls trip to Lisboa for my birthday and staying here was a wonderful experience. We each had our own bedroom and the rental is extremely spacious. Wonderful garden backyard and a lap pool for relaxing. The location was perfect for wandering the river town of Belem with lots of sites to see. The hosts were more than gracious and made sure that we were safe and that we had everything we needed. Thank you for our stay!

Lisbon at its best!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Junqueira Gardens. The property and gardens are lovely, plus Ricardo and his family were always available to help us with anything we needed. The location of the property was ideal, a short walk from many great restaurants and historical sites. We always felt very safe in this area and enjoyed the friendliness of the locals. Excellent hosts, house, location!
Our family of 5 (boys age 12 & daughter age 7) had a fantastic stay in this historic home with modern amenities. As others have noted, the owners are local & met us for check in, gave excellent recommendations for dinners, and told us about the house. The house is very spacious, we particularly enjoyed the large bathrooms. The backyard is fantastic, we were tired from travel and enjoyed take out by the pool our first night. The location is excellent for all things “museum district”, it’s a short walk to major sites. There is large parking lot right across the street if you have a car. House is super clean. We would absolutely recommend!

Belem Gem
This is a wonderful space, a lovingly restored house. The pool and courtyard are an oasis, especially on scorching August days (and the house stays quite cool). Even as two families totaling 7 people (three teens, 4 adults) we had so much room. Great neighborhood, near monastery, museums, grocery store, and public transit. Helpful hosts!

Amazing vacation and home!
This home is beautiful from the house key to the garden with pool! We very much enjoyed staying in the Garden, and it felt like a home away from home. My children loved the long wooden floored hallways. I loved the structure, and history of the home. The hosts were amazingly hospitable.They allowed the kids to feed the fish and delivered amazing treats. It is conveniently located. A nice walk to many sights, restaurants, shops, and great park for the children to play at. I can't wait to come back! Thank you so much for sharing this gem with our group!!

Genuine Portuguese experience
Stayed at this property while in town for a work conference. The Congress Center is a close walk, which was perfect for us. You will need Uber, bus or trolley to get into Lisbon for a lot of sight seeing. The flat is laid out in genuine Portuguese style as our hosts explained. There was a lot of space. The garden is lovely. The hosts are delightful and full of great recommendations.

A Beautiful Home in Belém!
Thank you Ricardo and Leonor Words can't describe how wonderful this Portuguese home is! The home is beautiful, large and comfortable. I traveled with my family of 5 adults and a baby! The home was like a chateau! It is a perfect location! The hosts were kind, caring, warm and very attentive to us! My grandson was able to feed the fish in the pond! It was so much fun for him! Traditional charm in Lisboa
The design and decor of the house was traditional with respect to the history, while still providing wonderful modern features. The design of the house and furnishings of the room allowed plenty of privacy for our group of 7 and many shared spaces for us to gather as a group. The garden was lovely and relaxing and the pool was just what we needed after a hot day of touring Sintra and other local sites. The neighborhood is quiet and ample access to parking. The bus stop is conveniently located near the house and the train and waterfront is walking distance. There are several markets and many restaurants within a short walk - or even on the same block. Ricardo lives in the same building and was easily available for questions. He left some delightful welcoming gifts of wine and almonds and delivered some local pastries to us mid-week. I will definitely try to stay here again if in Lisbon and would recommend it as an easy spot for a group vacation.

An Authentic Paradise
Every aspect of our stay was above and beyond our expectations. Stunning, elegant decor lovingly created by the owners. The property was clean containing all we needed. Each room had been designed to create its individual character, respectfully and considerately honouring its history. The garden is pure paradise with large palms, Olive trees creating shade, a pond which creates the wonderful sound of trickling water and a pool that is perfect for your morning swim and dipping into any time of day. The large grand apartment with marble tops and flooring offered a cool respite from the sun. The owners could not have been more welcoming and accommodating, going above and beyond to ensure our stay with them fulfilled our desire for an enjoyable stay. We will be returning to what felt like home and highly recommend booking here. A beautiful place to stay and ideally situated for local shops, restaurants and travel yet in a tranquil part of town with easy access when desiring to go sightseeing. We were thrilled with our experience and have made some great memories. Thank you.

Wonderful Traditional Villa Close to Congress Center
My family and I had the great fortune of staying here for 6 wonderful nights while I attended a meeting at the Congress Center. Ricardo and Leonir are excellent hosts, who greeted us big smiles, a short tour of the property, but most importantly, a spectacular port and almonds to snack on. The villa was spacious, beautifully decorated with antiques, clean, and comfortable. The garden is charming, and the pool greatly appreciated after a long day of sightseeing. The location is perfect - easy walking distance to the Congress Center as well as the shops and restaurants on the boardwalk. There’s a bus/tram stop right across the street, so transportation was as easy as it gets. I was also happy not having to walk up and down a steep hill while coming/going to the congress as many of my colleagues did. We truly felt at welcome, and called the villa “home” as that’s how we thought of it. Leonir’s sightseeing and restaurant recommendations were spot on, and she went out of her way to ensure all of our comforts were met, even buying umbrellas for us as the forecast called for rain one day. My only regret was being so busy with the meeting, I had limited time to enjoy the house. But my husband, son, and brother, who were vacationing, relished their time there, sleeping in, exploring Lisbon, and relaxing in the garden. I highly recommend staying at Ricardo and Leonir’s villa, whether you are in Lisbon for a congress or vacation, and hope to someday come back to this magical place.

Wonderful stay!
We spent two weeks at the property using it as our base to explore Lisbon and the surrounding area. We loved every minute of it. Ricardo gave us helpful local restaurant recommendations and ideas for local sights. We really felt like locals by the end. It’s really convenient to get around. We loved the pool, eating dinner in the garden or on the terrace and generally hanging out. We’ll definitely be booking again.

Wunderbare großzügige Unterkunft in Lissabon
Wir sind ganz begeistert von der wunderschönen Unterkunft. Die Wohnung ist riesig, viel größer als vermutet und unglaublich liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Garten mit dem traumhaften Pool ist ein echtes tropisches Paradies, leider war das Wetter zu unwirtlich, um ihn zu nutzen. Die Lage hätte für uns nicht besser sein können, in Nullkommanichts ist man am Tejo und genießt das lebendige Leben dort. In die Innenstadt haben wir ein Taxi genommen, aber es fahren auch mehrere öffentliche Verkehrsmittel quasi vor der Haustüre ab. Ganz besonders möchten wir uns bei aber für die tolle Gastfreundschaft bedanken, den netten Willkommensgruß mit Pasteis und Portwein und den herzlichen Empfang. Als Überraschung stand sogar während unseres Aufenthaltes ein köstlicher Schokoladenkuchen in der Küche als Trost für das schlechte Wetter. Als es sich abzeichnete, dass der Flug unserer Töchter verspätet ist, wurde gleich angeboten, dass sie gerne zurück ins Appartment kommen können. Wir sind sehr dankbar für diese schöne Lissabon-Erfahrung, werden die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt empfehlen und hoffen, dass wir selbst recht bald wieder kommen dürfen. Vielen, vielen Dank.

Un appartement extraordinaire et des propriétaires du même niveau !
Nous avions choisi ce grand appartement pour être au calme de la ville et pour son joli jardin. Si les photos sont parfaitement représentatives du lieu, il est en réalité encore plus grand et charmant que prévu. Les lieux sont frais, plein de recoins pour que chacun puisse avoir un lieu à soi et si joliment décorés. Que dire du jardin : un havre de paix insoupçonné. La piscine est immense et chaude, les plantes sublimes et les zones ombragées disponibles à chaque heure de la journée. Après 15 jours sur la route nous avons énormément profité de notre séjour. Et puis il y a, comme une évidence pour couronner tout cela, la gentillesse extrême de nos hôtes, délicieux de petites attentions et de délicatesse. Une famille avec laquelle on se sent tout de suite à l'aise et tout à fait "comme en famille".
