Lovely stay at this beautiful property. The interior is beautiful and room was updated and well appointed. Breakfast was fabulous with different stations. We enjoyed the dinner/concert experience as well. Reasonably close to restaurants, shopping, transportation and attractions.

Stunning decor, great location and excellent customer service. Allan at front desk was outstanding! We arrived shortly before the spa was closing but he ushered us there so we could enjoy it as we were only there one night. We were also greeted with welcome wine and a cheese and olive board. We got a good price on our room through Expedia and although the room was small, it was very comfortable and attractive. The staff were professional, helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and amazing in its variety. The property is a very short walk from the beginning/end of the 24E trolley line and not far from Metro stations, the Rossio train station, and seemingly hundreds of restaurants. This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at, absolutely deserving of its four stars. I recommend it highly.

This is a one off boutique hotel. Really welcoming and with very friendly staff. Very well appointed rooms. Quirky decoration, very clean and in a good location. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend.

The hotel and staff were very nice. The breakfast was amazing and the pianist playing I. The morning was so special. The staff treat us more like family than just customers. They provided great recommendations for restaurants. The tram is right across the street which was convenient. We will definitely stay here again when we return.

It’s quite unfortunate that Palácio das Especiarias was my first stopover in Portugal, because no other hotel after this has been good enough for me. Apart from its own unique charm, this hotel appears to spare no effort in hosting its guests with great generosity and goodwill. The two Carla’s are infectious with their cheerfulness, can-do attitude, humor and kindness and they set this tone throughout the hotel to make it a most pleasant and memorable stay.

It was so beautiful! So many living areas to relax in, a lovely courtyard, complimentary cheese platters set out every day in the wine cellar, lovely live fado music every day, lovely breakfasts, helpful and pleasant staff, and convenient to many points of interest.

Very typical charming Portuguese old Palace. The staff was amazing, so friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast with live piano player every morning. You can walk everywhere, so central. Would go back again for sure!

Beautiful hotel in great area of town. Rooms are all unique and beautiful. Wonderful breakfast with pianist and violinist as you dine. Very nice happy hour with wine poured out of wine barrels with cheese and bread plates. Vibe is like staying at a wealthy friends private mansion. Highly recommend!!
