The first room we were given seemed like a Stag/Hen room with 2 King & 2 Single beds, stinking of cigarettes, absolutely filthy & disgusting stains on the mattresses. Second room was exactly the same for size & beds, again disgusting mattresses with no protectors. Cigarette burns in the bathroom & years of mould on the windowsill. Unfortunately due to theatre & restaurant bookings we ran out of time to book somewhere else. We slept on top of 3 duvets. I would not stay here again if they paid me. I booked a "Standard Double bed in a Luxury Rm" & got a Stag/Hen room decorated in grey & black. It was like a dungeon, oh without Aircon as that was broke. Never again will I use Expedia.

The hotel is beautifully decorated throughout. The nods to Dixie Dean are brilliant but not over the top as to put none-Evertonians off. The service was excellent.

Lovely hotel right in the centre for all attractions, far enough to be in a quieter area. Huge room 305. A bit dark as very high window would be nice to be able to look out. Bathroom with large spa bath was great. No hanging space, thankfully only took a few clothes for a 3 night stay. Janet’s in wardrobe were above a shelf so couldn’t be used except to hand on the outside of the wardrobe. Lovely breakfasts everything you need to start the day. Nice cosy bar. Would definitely stay again.

Room was really spacious and quiet. Clean and comfortable and loved the decor. Maybe a higher seat at the lovely dressing table? Somewhere to put the kettle tray? Plenty of tea and coffee supplied which was great.

The room was huge. Beds comfy. Location excellent. Staff welcoming. Room well equipped. It was quiet on our stay. Jacuzzi was fab. Breakfast had plenty of choice. It was more warm than hot. We did find hairs in the bath. Room was old and could do we updating but for price was good value for money.

First time in the Dixie Dean 😁. Great location for the things we wanted to do this weekend.. ideal walkable distance to Matthews Street. Clean .. large room with air con so it was nice and cool in room .. hydro bath 🚿.. Breakfast was lovely .. help yourself buffet.. My only real thing was the bed it was not good for my back but had a great weekend and would use this hotel again
