"Asos is a gorgeous place and this unit is right on the water so 5 stars on this. The unit is clean and has good a/c and bed. Charlie, however, rarely answered my messages. And the bathroom is a hot mess organizationally. No towel bars and zero counter space. Both the shower and sink spray water all over the room. "This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive. Perfect for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the wonderful island of the Kephalonia."
