Disappointed
We were welcomed Anne the facility for our dog was good. Plenty of outside space and if we wanted he would have been welcome in the dining area. The menu sounded very good but was actually basic and overpriced. We were shown to a table that still had the previous diners half drunk glass of water and their water jug. Cutlery was missing. It was a very cold day and I was looking forward to a bath but the bedroom and bathroom were unheated and the water tepid. Only one mug supplied in the room for two visitors
When I arrived, expected bathroom en-suite but I had to look for the bathroom on my own. There was nobody to show me around on arrival. The cleaner helped me locate my room.
Family run historic hotel. Very cosy, enjoyed the free pool table! Service was very attentive. Food quality was superb. Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Great choice all cooked fresh to order.
Easy walk into town. Overall if you want a cosy place to stay with the personal touch this is the place for you.
Very dated guest house. It’s okay but I wouldn’t recommend to my friends. The normal saying is you get what you pay for, but I find it hard to believe that, we paid £77 for 1 night plus extra £15 for 2 dogs for a room with no bathroom. We had to go to the opposite end of the Guest house to be able to use the toilet and shower room which was a palaver up and now stairs to get to the end of the corridor.
A very nice place to stay. I only spent the night, but my room was comfortable and clean throughout. Was made to feel very welcome. Plus, a very enjoyable breakfast in the morning. When I come back to Wales, I will look to stay here again
