However, the cottage was really cold when when arrived mainly because the owner insists on turning the radiators to frost setting and then locking them. "We really enjoyed our 3 nights at The Smithy. It’s very spacious and cosy and well equipped. Good points: Cosy, spacious, warm, great internet, good kitchen, dishwasher, nice log fire, excellent pub across the road. Not so great points: Desperately needs some TLC, back door doesn’t lock so not the best security although it’s not a risk in this area, curtains are poor so we were awake quite early, kitchen utensils need upgrading. On the whole we would recommend but it could be so much better...
