Gower View Penthouse is our family holiday home, enjoyed and loved by 3 generations. It is graded 5* by Visit Wales and we visit on a regular basis to ensure this standard is maintained.
It is a modern duplex apartment located on the beachfront in Llanelli in the Millennium Coastal Park where more than 1500 acres have been given a spectacular face-lift to provide 22 km of beautifully restored coastline with stunning views of the Gower Peninsula, traffic-free cycling and exhilarating walks.
This is a brilliant location for family holidays, cyclists, walkers, golfers, horse racing, bird watching and garden enthusiasts.
The penthouse sleeps 6 people and has a light, spacious open plan kitchen and living area with full-length glass balconies on both sides. The spacious master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a balcony and an en suite. Both have spectacular views of the sandy beach and the sea beyond, we feel completely relaxed from the moment we arrive.
The stunning sunsets viewed from the apartment are to die for! The penthouse is accessed from the third floor of the building, there is no lift from the ground floor to the front door of the penthouse.
The penthouse has 2 smart TVs and free BT Infinity Wifi. It is tastefully furnished and has porcelain tiled floors throughout. Both the second and third bedrooms have 2 single beds.
It is a brilliant location for family holidays with a choice of child friendly beaches. It is a wildlife haven and provides a wide range of activities, places to visit and sports particularly golf, with 17 courses less than 30 miles away. Ffos Las racecourse is a 20 minute drive from the penthouse. There are several excellent restaurants nearby. The penthouse is easily accessed from the M4 motorway.
There are 2 restaurants within walking distance. St Elli's Bay Bistro and Bistro is just a 5 min walk from the penthouse, it also has a Gelateria which is open all day. Cattle and Co is a short walk around North Dock. There is a children’s playground with swings, slides etc adjacent to the St. Elli's Bay.
Pembrey Country Park (20 minutes drive) has a dry ski slope, toboggan run, mini railway, nature trails, adventure playground, crazy golf and bike hire. The National Closed Road Cycling Circuit opened here in 2018 and next door is the Welsh Motor Sports Centre .
Trostre Parc Shopping Centre is just 8 mins drive away where there is a 24 hour Tesco, along with other shops. There are also McDonalds, Pizza Hut and other eateries. Parc y Scarlets, the stadium for the Scarlets rugby team is just next door.
Llanelli Leisure Centre has 2 swimming pools, Fusion gym, squash courts, sports hall for badminton and trampolines.
There are 2 soft play centres for younger children nearby.
Indoor bowls is available in Llanelli at the Selwyn Samuel Centre and snooker at the Terry Griffiths Match room
There is a multi screen cinema and theatre in the town centre.
Folly Farm is a wonderful day out for all the family with indoor and outdoor activities.
Oakwood Theme Park with rides for all the family is on the A48 leaving the M4 at junction 49.
Swansea Waterfront has a spectacular water based leisure centre with the UK's first standing surf machine, a thrilling ride called the Master Blaster, a lazy river, interactive pool, teaching lagoon, waterfall, water jets and fountains - the best water park around. Crazy Climb and Ninja Warrior are also here.
Swansea and Carmarthen offer tenpin bowling and multi-screen cinemas - all good activities for wet days.
Afan Forest Park is a popular destination for walking, cycling and orienteering and has mountain bike trails for all standards leave the M4 at junction 40.
There are 2 National Trust properties nearby - Dinefwr Park and the Dolaucothi Goldmines. Pendine Museum of Speed focuses on the use of the sands for land speed attempts and racing.
The penthouse is just 40 metres from the soft, sandy beach at the mouth of the estuary of the River Loughor, a 20 minutes’ drive to Pembrey Country Park which has access to the 7 mile long blue flag beach Cefn Sidan Sands.
It is 30 - 40 minutes to the beaches on the Gower, which include Port Eynon (our favourite) Rhossili, Mewslade Bay, Oxwich Bay, Three Cliffs Bay, Caswell Bay with excellent beach cafe , Langland Bay which has a very good beachfront restaurant.
